We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamara Jean Baptiste and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tamara, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my business was to become my own boss. I wanted to be able to make others feel beautiful about themselves and what better way than to slay their hair. Who doesn’t like a fresh install?
What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart from others is that I choose quality over quantity. My main priority is to make sure every client leaves my seat satisfied. Something I’m most proud of is the progress I continue to make each and every day. I got to where I am today by believing in myself, striving to be better, and only competing with myself. The journey is not easy, you have to work with different personalities, market your brand, and be consistent which sometimes ca n get overwhelming. The best lesson that I’ve learned along the way is slow and steady wins the race. Something I want the world to know about Plugz Boutique is that it’s a virtual TLC (tendor, love, and care) company, where we want you to feel the best about yourself.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost I want to thank God. I want to shoutout all close friends and even my supporters from my social media platforms that showed love to my business by reposting my content, following my pages, referring clients to me, sitting in my chair, and even purchasing from me. Without these individuals, I would not be where I am today.
