We had the good fortune of connecting with Paul O’Meara and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paul, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I was always an artist, a painter to be specific, but when I was introduced to graphic design, copywriting, and website design in 2010, I felt there was more I could learn and do in the digital space.

What should our readers know about your business?
Jupiter Compass is a boutique digital marketing agency, producing leads and qualified traffic for businesses small and large, through website design, social media, analytics, copywriting, advertising, photography and videography. The company approach is to be very hands on, like method actors, we learn about our clients through experiencing their products and services personally; which ultimately makes us better marketers. Moving from freelance to a full functioning business was not too painful, growing the company’s client list through strong work and reputation was the first step, then, when the list grew large enough and I saved enough money, I felt confident enough to open the doors. An important lesson learned is to listen more; it may seem like an obvious interpersonal communication tip, but in a business relationship, I have learned that listening, fully, is imperative as a business owner.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
For the stay, I am a huge fan of The Ben in West Palm Beach, had a staycation during COVID, their roof top bar and pool is amazing. For the drink, all the local breweries, they do not disappoint; my local favorites are Steam Horse, Civil Society, and Twisted Trunk. For the food, The Cooper on PGA Blvd. For the fun Drive Shack to hit some golf balls and the beaches, of course.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
When I was building up my client list in 2013, Anthony, the owner of 3Natives, was a mutual friend of mine, and when he started his juice bar, I asked if I could make his website; I built the site for $180, which literally covered domain, hosting, and a little for myself. 3Natives is now over 16 locations strong and set to open more franchises this year; this continued business allowed Jupiter Compass to grow as a marketing company.
