We had the good fortune of connecting with Dwhight Molina and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dwhight, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My story could be like one of many that are lost in the endless streets of the world capital; It could have been an experience of survival and triumph of a Venezuelan immigrant in the United States, which would be told in the living rooms of the houses of his loved ones; God, however, made his presence known in a moment of deep thought and helped me see a way out, one that would evolve my personal experience.
Before being the writer of a book called “This is how an immigrant prospers” and becoming a reference, I lived my own story, when I decided to leave Caracas and the things I built in my comfort zone, in Venezuela.
Despite having successful experiences in my work, I felt the need to try my luck in a different nation, I packed my bags and arrived in New York, where I found myself with two great walls to overcome, the first was the language and the second was that the things that I had imagined were not as I believed them.
If my life were a book, it would be called “don’t give up”, which has been a phrase that has accompanied me in the midst of the storms that have passed in my life and thanks to it I have been able to transmit it to thousands of people with whom I have talked , a little faith and reestablish the connection with the spiritual of multiple people who have lost their way in the process of changing country.
For me, the presence of God cannot be lacking and I commend his wisdom day after day and I invite people not to derail their faith, never lose the desire to move forward and no matter what happens, never in life, one must lower one’s spirits and surrender.
Starting from scratch made me find myself and understand my purpose. Writing, being a motivational speaker, having my own company and making a living from it has given me the satisfaction that I have worked very hard to achieve my goals. It’s not easy, there are always people who want to take you away from your purpose and there are fears to overcome, but the idea is to stand firm and move forward.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being prosperous is a decision, I firmly believe that working accompanied by the hand of God, everything will have positive results. The most difficult thing for me was coming alone and getting away from my family, working very hard to meet them again and continuing to undertake to provide them with the stability they have today. I learned not to faint in the face of storms, I learned to smile in the face of adversity, to question everything, I learned that if I am focused on my purpose the path becomes clearer.
God, my family, my wife and my daughters are my engines to continue working for my purpose.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I have a friend who comes to visit, I would take him to see the Topgolf which is located at 11850 NW 22nd St, Doral, FL 33182. There you can spend a good time with the family, where there is music, food, drinks and it is super accessible.
However, my favorite city in Florida is Cape Coral where I have my little house, the sunsets are spectacular and the people are very friendly.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
To my Creator, the provider of everything I have, the one who has always been with me, the one who has never let me down, the one who has always directed me, the one responsible for my coming to the United States.
To my beloved wife who has always been with me even in the most difficult moments. To my two beautiful daughters, for their courage, because they successfully overcame the difficult role of immigrant girls.
To the rest of the family, because they have always seen in me a figure of authority and an example to follow.
To all the brave immigrants who decided to leave their country in search of a new future.
