We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittnai Gary and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittnai, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I am from Miami, Florida. I have to give much praise to my mother. I have always seen her work hard to support me and my siblings. Even with her busy schedule she occasionally made time to take me on trips to the bookstore and to business conferences. She assured me that I could do and be anything, even if I didn’t choose the traditional route of going to college after graduating. I picked up my first hobby in the 9th grade and I’ve become a serial entrepreneur ever since.

What should our readers know about your business?
When I chose to become an entrepreneur I honestly had no idea that I would be as successful as I am today. I like to think that your purpose is to find things that you’re passionate about, make a plan, write it down, and GO FOR IT!

I started playing around and doing nails my freshman year of high school. My nail tech “China” (shoutout to her), was so dope, I would let her put actual beads with letters and 3d butterfly’s on my nails, she had me looking so fly (literally)!

After 2 years of college and becoming a new mom, I quickly discovered that I needed more income. My jobs were not flexible in hours or pay. I quickly made the decision that I would NOW be in control of my destiny. In 2016 I got licensed to become a full-specialist.

Becoming a nail technician is still a big part of my success and opened some many doors I never imagined. Since then I have pursued becoming an part-time nail instructor/educator. In 2021 I chose to branch off into becoming a licensed realtor/investor and a part-time yoga enthusiast.

The most challenging part about becoming an entrepreneur is keeping the momentum when things get hard but with God and the right support system anything and everything is possible!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My family is a mix of cultures. I love island meals and soul food. My go to spot would be Lorna’s Caribbean and American Grill located in Miami Gardens, Florida. They serve high end food and drinks from the bar (I love that place)!

The next hangout spot is the Red Buddha Bar and outdoor Hookah Lounge. It’s right off of Hollywood beach and they have a free jacuzzi! The drinks, food, and music are great! They also throw in free pop sickles!

My last destination would be Tree Tops Park.
They have amazing nature trails, horse back riding, boating, fishing, and an amazing tower and bonfire pit!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First I want to thank God, I would be nowhere without the grace and mercy of the most high. I owe a lot to my Mom, Dad, and Grandmother. They have all contributed to my success and picked up the pieces, when I made mistakes along the way. I want to thank my siblings and my son for being my daily motivation.
