We had the good fortune of connecting with David Abou Chehadeh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?

I had always dreamed of working for myself. Being passionate about fashion in general and (clothing and accessories) in particular; I decided to start my own business, because I was called to buy back my time and pursue other dreams. Dreams that would provide products and a brand experience that would enhance another woman’s life and lifestyle.

It was during my corporate job that I started thinking about creating my own brand; and as being a business development manager and expert marketer for many years in the luxury field, I decided to create my own fashion brand that I aimed it to be more than just a design, yet, a great experience that empowers women in revealing their true power and style. I select designs that reflect my vision about each women character and personality.

STYLORD Boutique is an online/retail clothing and accessories boutique that believes ambitious and passionate women deserve luxury garments that offer flexibility and versatility to their wardrobes. It should allow them to effortlessly command any work or pleasure engagement whether they are going for “casually elegant” or “subtly sexy.” Style Intent seeks to celebrate the rich history and cultural impact of women.

The best lessons I’ve ever learned were through my own failures. I think it’s important to fail but more important to recognize there’s a learning opportunity in failure.

One of the hardest lessons I’ve learned, or had to make peace with, is that your greatest support will come from the ones you least expect. It’s the people that you never knew were watching that will be your biggest source of referrals and encouragement while some of the closest ones stay quiet.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Despite the current situation that our beloved country is going through, I do believe that like all other stages we passed through; we will overcome this situation and look forward. Challenges are within the roots of every Lebanese individual and that’s the reason behind the strong business success story of every Lebanese businessman.

There are so many people that mentored and inspired me along the way, and continue to do so, but especially the strong family I grew up surrounded by. They taught me resilience and that’s necessary in business. My friends who continued to support me through all the ups and downs. Plus anyone that has ever believed in my success & that I’ve met along the way.
