We had the good fortune of connecting with Scott Ruscillo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Scott, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success and success of my brand would be my high level of customer service and being extremely personable to every client. Many of our clients become friends and repeatedly refer my businesses to others. Unfortunately many businesses fail to provide a high level of customer service to their clients/customers. As a 34 year old I realized early on in both my businesses that going that extra mile for a client is one of the most important parts of your business. I have my main business Scott’s Computer Repair and I also have my other business Scott’s Property consulting, two very different businesses however the same idea stands regarding customer service/ relations. Clients and customers want to deal with someone who is knowledgeable yes, however if that business owner or representative has poor customer service skills it does not matter how knowledgeable or resourceful they may be. That potential new client will most likely look to find another business to deal with.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets us apart from other IT businesses is once again the superior customer service that we provide. We pride ourselves in providing onsite service same or next day, which is not very common amongst IT companies in recent times. Most repairs or lessons can be completed in the comfort of the clients home, whether we are upgrading a clients home with more powerful WIFI or replacing a damaged laptop screen. We also accept every form of payment in order to allow clients to pay us the way that works best for them. Besides for treating each client like they are family we also highly focus on marketing our Individuality, meaning our goal is to stand out from similar companies.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I must admit that my IT business would never have taken off without my mom. I clearly remember about 16 years ago I was getting into helping people with computers. My dad actually used to go to homes as a side job and help repair or teach people computers. I remember my mom saying to me that I should start doing the same and since my dad stopped doing it I started to inundate the neighborhood with posters on just about every wooden telephone pole advertising computer assistance. My dad never really took his skills into a real business since he already had a career. My signs were literally all over my home town of Rockaway Queens NY. Not long after hanging over 150 to 200 posters each month I started to receive calls. I still remember my hands full of calluses from the staple gun. My friends and I would go out together and hang flyers together. My mom then said that I should set some pricing and continue to advertise in the local papers as well. I miss my mom dearly since we lost her October 1st 2018 and I continue to have serious issues regarding her loss. I always give her credit for advising me to get out there hang flyers and roll with it. As soon as you know it one customer 16 years ago has now turned into 5,500 clients all around the country.
