We had the good fortune of connecting with Nahvi Phouthakhanty and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nahvi, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
With a room full of millionaire CEOs, they don’t ever expect to see a young 17-year-old girl chatting with them about business. I started off going around town and attending networking events or any events for that matter to just speak to business owners and some of the top leaders around the world. It was something not many people see in this generation today… a young teenage girl that knows what she wants. You have to find people who have what you want. I have a dream and I was going to do whatever it took.

I just grew up with many females in my family who are entrepreneurs themselves, but each individual built their own business from the ground up. They all have inspired and shown me what it took to grow their business over the years.

I tried everything that had to do with business at a young age until I found something I knew I was looking forward to building. After graduating high school, I made the decision to not attend college. I wanted to take my own journey a bit differently than the average person. It wasn’t just building a business, it was building a legacy. Over the years, I have built a lot of connections with some of the top entrepreneurs across Miami, FL, and across the country. At the age of 18, I was working with a social media marketing company in Miami, that now today has become a multi-million dollar company. Eventually, I decided to take what I learned while working for them and start my own agency.

Through those connections I’ve made, I had the honor of getting connected with a mutual friend in Tampa, FL who does marketing and sales. I’ve met a lot of people in the business industry over the years, but he is the only person I truly trust when it comes to building a business. He shared with me secrets and unique systems that only his inner circle knows that have proven to work. He chatted with me about how there isn’t anyone who is creating professional branded content for doctors on a daily basis and no doctor has time to do it themselves. Outdated websites, outdated content, and no consistency in their brand are what may be slowing down your business.

I started off to tap into the medical field by helping high-level Chiropractors across the country and creating consistent content for them. Especially during the beginning of the COVID pandemic, many people never knew that Chiropractic offices were still open. You see people that are in constant pain and not knowing who the right people are to go to, so my agency’s job is to put you in front of the right people that need you and inform them on a daily basis.

I’m the lifeline for people’s businesses and their clients.

Business owners will typically put thousands and millions each year into paid advertising but if you’re bringing people to your business what do you have to show for yourself? How are they going to trust you?

If you can’t show up daily on social media, customers will most likely think you won’t show up for them when they need you. At Nahvi Agency Co. we specialize in branding businesses online with researched based content that is also with modern designed aesthetics for your social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.

I always start with branding first and building that trust with my customers before going into paid advertising. Otherwise, if you’re not marketing your brand the proper way you may be losing out on some great prospects and wasting tons of money. We are also not only here to provide expertise and resources for your brand to succeed but to also take social media off of your hands so you can focus on other important things within your business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are not your normal marketing agency. Most marketing agencies always go straight with paid advertising instead of focusing more on the brand itself. When you’re starting a new business, the first thing you do is design your business…design your brand to present to the world. Marketing isn’t just always about running ads online, but you also have to ensure that your brand is representing you and what your company is. Building a business and becoming an entrepreneur is never easy and it’s definitely not for everyone. I had to get out of my comfort zone and commit to learning a new skillset which didn’t happen overnight. With overcoming some challenges, I had to just keep moving forward and keep a positive mindset. The journey is going to have it’s ups and downs, but you can’t let fear stop you from chasing your dreams. I am very proud though of how far I’ve come and all the growth that has been made, especially how many doctors and other businesses we’ve helped during the pandemic which was the most crucial time in the world.

One of the fews lessons I’ve learned along the way is that you have to be willing to keep learning everyday, you’re going to make some mistakes but you learn from those mistakes. Also, don’t be afraid to take risks and just take that jump. There is something that always helped me when I was afraid to do something or make a decision, use the 5-second rule. It takes 5 seconds to just do something real quick. If you’re afraid to pick the phone and call a prospect, just count down from 5 and just do it! Don’t think hard and long about something you’ve always wanted to do and make happen. Because once you past the scary part, in the end everything will be worth it!

If there’s anything I want the world to know about my story, is that building this agency means more to me than just growing a business. In the beginning, I was helping high-level doctors across the country with their branding. When the Covid pandemic happened, I noticed some people were experiencing back/shoulder/neck pain and didn’t know that Chiropractors or other doctors office were still open. I was the life-line for business owners and humans. I personally was in a car accident a few years ago that I was lucky to be alive from. I had extreme lower back pain until I found a Chiropractor that quickly helped me once I went to see the best one in town. I was putting Chiropractors at the top of the list when someone searches for a Chiropractor near their area out of all their competitors. Because what happens if someone’s child is having so much back pain that they didn’t know who would be the right Chiropractor to go to? They wouldn’t want their child to go to 1-star rating doctor, that’s why it’s important for business owners to put themselves out there. Someone’s child would continue to be in pain just because business owners decided to not invest into their business and put themselves out there.

Running Facebook and Google ads to bring people to your business is one part of it, but showing people what your brand is and presenting it to them daily to build that trust with your clients long-term is another part of it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Wake up for an amazing Colombian breakfast at La Ventana Restaurant.

Then, go for a morning swim and relax while getting some rays in South Beach, Miami for a few hours.

For a great Cuban lunch spot, I would go to Havana 1957 right by South Beach.

Go do a little bit of shopping at the Miami Design District or at the Miami Brickell Centre.

Grab dinner at MILA which is a high-end Mediterranean & Japanese cuisine restaurant right on Lincoln road. Lincoln road is also an outdoor shopping center filled with tons of amazing restaurants and live music!

For a little night out fun, go out to a few bars across Miami, maybe a walk on the beach at night, and just see where the night takes us!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Someone who deserves credit and recognition is my good friend and mentor Jordan Nazario. The ideas that he shared with me were always outside of the box, which intrigued me. I am beyond grateful for him getting me started in growing my agency, learning a new skill set, and learning new systems to scale my agency. He and I do have similar childhoods and our story is why where we are at today. We work hard to provide for our families and give them the life they deserve. Jordan once said to me, “If you know you deserve more, then go get what you deserve.” My life has definitely changed over the years because of him and ACE (which was the mentorship where he taught me everything).

Another person would also be my mother, Sophanna Phouthakhanty. My mother passed away on March 3, 2019. She inspired me with her strong work ethic and strength to always chase my dreams as she was committed to her career for over 20 years. Through times of frustration, she always told me to never give up, even if it got hard. Giving up was never an option for me, and I never will. A lot of my family has said, I am a spitting image of her with her beauty, wise words, and strength. Thank you momma for being the best mom and inspiring me to be the best version of myself and to keep chasing my dreams!
