Meet Keisha Major | Mother & Hairstylist & Female Rap Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Keisha Major and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keisha, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was Always THINK BIG! I always wanted to be my own boss and watching my mother raise her children as a single mother I wanted to show her that I would always be great and make her proud and buy her a big house. I Always been a Hustler/Entrepreneur since I was in the 6th grade Turning on Cellphones lol. I started off making adult Liquor drinks to owning my own beauty salon. And Becoming A Hair stylist To Having My Own Clothing Brand, Upcoming Female Rap Artist. All With Hard Work & Dedication . I Had My Son When I was 18 years old and From There My Motivation Expanded to wanting to give my son a life where we don’t have to struggle anymore Or My Son Ever Faces The Challenges I Experienced in my Life. My Son Will Be Proud Of Me That’s What Matters To Me.I want to be His Superhero & Some He Looks Up To. That’s Why I’m Always Figuring Out My Next Hustle I’m The Type I Don’t Give Up So Easy. I also grew up bi-racial/mixed culture so I always wanted to make a difference by making others that look different like me Beautiful. I Always Lived By Bless Some One & You Will Forever Be Blessed .

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I Am An Entrepreneur/Mixologist /Hairstylist/ Upcoming Female Rapper. I remember when I first started Hustling Turning on cellphones for $5 & Rapping.
I was 13 yrs old making music & Dance routines in my moms living room with the old camcorder. I remember Every time I Got A Baby Doll I would Do Something Crazy To Her Hair lol.
I Always Had thoughts of becoming famous or a business woman.
my moms dedication and hustle Made Me Want It Just As Bad As She Did.
She made sure we didn’t go with out. Or at least tried to. I Became A Small Black Owned Business Back In 2015. I Started off Making adult cocktails Drinks & Catering Parties,Even Making Easter Baskets & Selling Them On The Corners Of Different Neighborhoods,From There I became A Hairstylist. I started doing hair on my back porch to next Taking a hair Class , now having my own shop & Selling My own hairline & Products & My Own Clothing Brand . I thank GOD for All He Has Done in my life.Put GOD First & Everything Else Will Fall In Place. That’s what my grandma Juanita would Always Say.
What sets my Business apart from others is that I genuinely Put my Heart & Soul, And Also Blood Into making People Beautiful & Seeing there real smile after knowing I Really Made Someone’s Day Is what makes me proud.I’ve Learned lots of lessons As A Entrepreneur, I live by The Saying Never give up,Always Take Risks & No Matter What Life Throws At You Keep Pushing.Lastly I would love for the world to truly understand that my business stands on Customer Satisfactory I am Someone who cares about the clients that I serve and I am here to provide nothing but the greatest Service & Hospitality..I know my Story Is A Real Testimony & Can Be A Help To Others.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If My best friend was visiting the area and I wanted to show them the best time ever I would start by taking them to My Shop To Doll Them All Up & Make Them Look Beautiful. Then We Would go to Fort Lauderdale or Miami beach because I love the sun and water. Then Go Out For a Night on a the Town Maybe Grab A Few Drinks at this restaurant called Grails in wynwood. I would then Take Them To 2 different Malls Maybe sawgrass mall in Fort Lauderdale and then Go To Aventura Mall In Miami because I love shopping it’s therapeutic for me as well as a variety of different items to buy. Also I love food so I would take them to try this resturant called dunkoos in wynwood there food is sooo delicious and I love the fact that it’s island food.I know my friends like music so I would take them to maybe a nice lounge for music and good vibes. Also I Have not yet Experienced Going To a Museum Where I live So I would Add The frost museum To our itinerary as well gives us something different to check out . And lastly I would end the Weeknd turning up in one of Miami’s hottest Gentlemens club buying bottles and hanging out making memories with my girls.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
1st & For Most I Want To Thank GOD For This Opportunity & My Journey Growing As An Entrepreneur, He Is Always Blessing Me With Greatness So I Can Bless Others. I would Like To Also Thank ShoutoutMiami For Allowing Me To Share My Story & Also Giving Me A Chance.
