Hi Catarina, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting my own business in image consulting and personal color analysis was a process that began with a deep personal reflection. Despite having a successful career in fashion and marketing, I felt the need to rediscover the true meaning of fashion for myself. As I reflected on my values and priorities, I realized that I wanted to make a positive impact on people’s lives by promoting sustainable and authentic fashion choices. This realization led me to embark on a journey of self-discovery, where I honed my skills and I wanted to help people understand their unique style and empower them to communicate their best selves to the world.
The process of starting my own business was not easy, but it was deeply fulfilling. It involved research, planning, and networking, as well as a willingness to take risks and learn from mistakes. Throughout this process, I remained committed to my values and vision, and I am proud to say that my business reflects these principles.
Today, as an entrepreneur in the fashion industry, I am grateful for the opportunity to help people feel confident, empowered, and beautiful. Starting my own business was a challenging yet rewarding journey that has allowed me to create a meaningful impact in people’s lives.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Of course! I’d be happy to tell you more about my business. One thing that sets me apart from others is my dedication to building a strong, personal relationship with my clients. I take the time to really understand their unique needs and goals, and work with them to create a tailored solution that helps them achieve success.

Getting to where I am today has definitely had its challenges. Building a successful business takes a lot of hard work, patience, and persistence. But, I’ve learned that staying focused on my goals and being adaptable to change has helped me overcome obstacles and achieve success.

Today, Color Signature brand is known for its personalized approach, attention to sustainability, and commitment to helping women embrace their unique beauty. We are proud of the journey we have taken to get to where we are now and is exciting to see where business will take us in the future.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have a deep passion for the beach and the natural beauty that surrounds us here in Miami. That’s why whenever my friends come to visit me from Brazil, I make sure to show them the best spots for soaking up the sun and taking in the breathtaking scenery. From the serene shores of Key Biscayne to the vibrant energy of South Point and Miami Beach, there’s no shortage of amazing beaches to explore. In addition to beach hopping, I also enjoy taking my friends on cultural adventures to explore Miami’s thriving arts scene. The colorful murals of Wynwood and the chic boutiques of Design District are just a few of the must-see spots that I love to share with visitors.
And of course, no trip to Miami is complete without indulging in some of the city’s incredible cuisine. I always make sure to take my friends to my favorite restaurants, such as Mandolin for its delicious Mediterranean fare, Joia Beach for its stunning oceanfront views, and Amara for its mouth-watering Latin American dishes.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
While I have many friends who undoubtedly deserve special recognition, there is one person in particular who stands out for their courage, perseverance, and exceptional service: my husband, Gustavo Cortez of DCortez Management. He has been steadily growing and becoming a reference in the construction market, and I believe he truly deserves this shoutout for all of his hard work and dedication.
