Meet Sasha Jovicic | Chief Executive Officer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sasha Jovicic and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sasha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I gotta be honest, I was about 7 or 8 years old and when I was bored with my comics, I would go down to the corner, put out a rug and my old, read comics and sell them for a few pennies. My father says I had the “business owner” mentality from a very young age. Ten years later or so, I was on my way to building an empire online.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Executive Digital is an enterprise-level digital marketing firm. We started our company 10 years ago catering to small businesses and in the last 6, we pivoted into an enterprise-grade and enterprise-focused SEO and Dev firm. We build over 120 websites each year in-house and all of them with an SEO-first mindset, and we love the fact that everything is handled internally. While outsourcing is a popular model for many agencies, we took the harder route, building our agency one client at a time, and developing our expert staff from within. It’s been an incredibly challenging ride, but because all of the teams cross-collaborate, we’ve learned how each component of a digital ecosystem fits flawlessly for each client. It’s an ever-evolving system, as we continue to adapt to every industry out there.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Wow, if you come to visit Miami, there is a never-ending list of places. My favorite spots are the middle of the city: Wynwood, Midtown and Design Districts. You can literally walk for 20 blocks and experience everything from the Latin flavor to the Eastern European diners and everything in-between. The most interesting spot for me personally is my little piece of heaven on Calle Ocho in Little Havana. There is a cigar shop which allows me to unwind in peace and their cafecito is the best.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First of all, my team is everything. They are the heartbeat of my company, and my partners and investors have helped support my dream every which way, so shoutout to my partners Chuck Kim and Tony Lopez, and in no particular order, all of the teams in all of my companies; Executive Digital, SportsEdTV, Moda Design District, Wine Boutique, Black Bear Hemp, SPH Creations and Avala Business. Most importantly, my wife’s support has been a critical component of my success. She may think I’m nuts, but she stands by my insanity at all given times.
