We had the good fortune of connecting with Isabella Frias and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isabella, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I started my business @shotsbyfrias as soon as I realized my passion for photography, videography, and video editing. I was a part of the morning announcements crew in elementary, took a broadcasting and journalism class in 7th and 8th grade, and joined the film program at my high school. I realized as I got older that this was something I loved to do and wanted to pursue as a career in the future. As soon as I graduated high school in 2020, I began posting my work on my Instagram account, which has grown and improved a lot since I created it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a freelance photographer, videographer, and video editor. I create all types of content but I currently specialize in graduations, sports, weddings, and personal shoots. I believe what sets me apart from other freelancers is my style of editing and camera angles I like to do while taking pictures or videos. I always love to try new things as I am shooting or editing so if I ever have a last minute idea, I always try to test it out and see if I like it! I got to where I am today by my hard work and dedication to my craft. I love what I do and I believe that is the most important part. It was definitely not the easiest path, but life is full of challenges. It is all up to a person to decide if they want to overcome those challenges and how they will do that. I work extremely hard every day to be where I am today and to become better at my craft. I have learned that there will be periods of time where your business is doing extremely well or where your business is very stagnant, but that is okay. You just need to keep working hard and learn new things as you go. I want people to know about my love and passion for what I do and how much I’ve had to do in order to get to where I am today.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting the area, I would definitely want to take her around all the famous spots in Miami, like Wynwood, Brickell, Miami Beach, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, and more! There are plenty of amazing restaurants and fun things to do around those areas! I think one of the most fun things to do while in Miami is to go to a Heat game! I love sports, mostly basketball, and always try to get my close friends to watch games with me. Heat games are a blast! I also like going to South Pointe to get an amazing view and have a relaxing day at the beach.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a huge shoutout to my amazing family and friends who continue to support me every day. They push me to work harder and become better at my craft and I could not be more grateful for my amazing support group!
