We had the good fortune of connecting with Geisha Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Geisha, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is the fact that I set out to have a BRAND from the beginning. As business owners we sometimes think of our businesses as small, or as side hustles, and that mindset keeps us from showing up as the founders of the brands we’re capable of building.

From day one I had a vision for a brand that would stand out in its industry, and while I’m not near where I want to be, every decision I make daily is in support of that vision. If it doesn’t support it, it’s not a good decision.

What should our readers know about your business?
I founded GG Communications in the summer of 2020 with the vision to build a digital marketing agency. With a lot of marketing experience, but no idea about how to build a business, you can imagine it’s been a lot of trial and error. Finding clients was easy, assembling the right team to serve them in the exceptional way I have always envisioned was the difficult part.

But through much perseverance, today we’re a team of remote contractors serving brands that are looking to position themselves as leaders in their industry through content marketing.

Our clients are incredible founders in their own right, many of them 7-figure business founders, and we’re incredibly grateful to be part of their journeys.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Depends on what they’re into, but if they’re looking for the best sushi roll I recommend the macadamia roll at Hillstone — I know, it’s not a sushi place, but trust me. For a killer cocktail my go-to is a Lychee Blossom at Mamey in the Gables, and for a day of self-care there’s nothing like the ocean.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people to credit, but if I had to summarize it to one single word it would be: community. Surrounding myself with like-minded individuals, specifically those who are were I want to be, has been incredible for my growth.

Finding my way to the Entrepenista League, a community of female founders, has been a game changer in my business. Being an entrepreneur is difficult and the main obstacle in our way is what we don’t know. Investing time and money to get in the right rooms to learn from people who already have that knowledge is a must.
