We had the good fortune of connecting with Twee Denali and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Twee, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“By day and by night, I am prospered in all my interests. How good it is.”
What’s this affirmation means to me is to not worry so much. That the greater good in all situations will be played out through me. How good it is, is the stamp on the affirmation. Giving it a positive feeling, and emotion.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from most artists, is that my tells a clear story that you can follow, usually with a positive message. The message I display in my music is authentically me. You couldn’t pin point who I get my influence from because I make it a mission to be uniquely me. The challenges any artist who doesn’t follow the mainstream agenda is to be confident in your craft. The recognition may not come fast, but it will grow organically.
I want the world to embody the meaning of my brand/label “Feed Tha Family” (FTF) in their everyday lives. I created FTF in high school, as a symbol of unity, to always have your brother/sister back for the greater good.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My have a few favorite spots, I’ll list them in no particular order. Being outside in nature, walking around the blocks in Loxahatchee (where I currently live) is one of my favorite past times. It’s just something about the fresh air, and intimacy. I’ve had some of the best conversations on walks in nature with friends.
Next, if we want to go out and have a good time, I’d take us to a “Flavars” event. The vibes is always great, the music is superb, and they have good food.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a special thanks to my brother from another mother Mike C. He has been with me from the very start, making a lot of the art come to life. I want to give a shout out to palm beach records for giving me a place to record my music, and making me feel like family.
