Meet Lazaro Marcia | Tattoo artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lazaro Marcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lazaro, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I decided to get back in the tattoo industry after suffering an accident on my motorcycle that led to loosing the ability to live my right dominant hand, so it was very challenging and scary to relearn with my left hand always thinking on one might fail and also was difficult being a new artist people didn’t know.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Here is my Story

I been in the tattoo industry for many years always leaving and coming back, in the year 2010 I suffer from a motorcycle accident that left my dominant hand (right) injury (Brachial Plexus Injury) and with very small mobility. At the beginning of 2017 I decided to quit my normal job at a hotel and start living my dream, I apprenticed with a very talented artist and moved along different shops until I met my mentor who decided to open a shop in which I will fulfill my dream and also be able to practice not only as a tattoo artist but at artist at heart! I been tattooing professionally and license since early 2018 and always learning from other talented artist in the industry.
I would love to build a clothing line with collective work from other artist from Miami.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The ocean it’s always the best place to ground yourself and relax, nothing like the Florida Keys for that.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family play a very important role as every member had plant a seed of help of sone sort and my kids being the reason to leave a story behind for them
