We had the good fortune of connecting with John Fazio Jr and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi John, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I knew I had a unique idea but I needed to trust myself that I could pull it off. It took a lot of reflecting on the last 10+ years of my numerous careers to realize I’ve been on my own the whole time, I’ve just been making other people money.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Sure! I used to be in the IT Field where companies would work with businesses and essentially take care of all their computer needs. They would be the one finding the latest and greatest software, managing issues and updates, basically making sure everything runs smoothly. Instead of the headache of multiple vendors they had one company to contact. That’s essentially what I’m doing with Entertain My Crowd LLC. Bars, Restaurants, Breweries, Wineries and more sign up, then the best local solo and duo acts show up, put on a great show and that’s it! No need to seek out, manage, schedule or even pay the talent directly, it’s Entertainment as a Service.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Absolutely! You should check out The Hangout Cafe in Carmel NY, Brickhouse Pizza in Ridgefield CT and Quirk Works Brewing in Danbury CT. These are all great clients of mine that feature the area’s best entertainers and of course amazing food and drinks!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d shout out to all the people that didn’t give me the time of day, that rejected me, that fired me, that made me feel less than what I am. You helped me go further than you know!
