We had the good fortune of connecting with Key Drip and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Key, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
My favorite quote is “being alone really makes you realize all you got is yourself”. This quote in particular has made me realize that you have to experience being isolated, or alone to elevate to your prime. What I like about this quote is that it reassures me that nobody has my back Like I have my back. I tell myself this quote every day so I can remember not to rely on or depend on anyone but myself. It’s completely OK to ask someone for something but don’t expect anything from them when asked. I got this quote from XXXTENTACION. He is one of my idols in music , he had a lot of knowledge and was very vocal about educating others to wake up. This quote is also tattooed on my left arm it’s apart of me . It’s something that lives rent free in my head.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a female musical artist . I Rap , I sing and all my music is original. I do multiple genres and I make music for people to relate and cope through their situations. Music has always been a passion for me and I’m most proud of overcoming the fear of performing in front of people. I got to where I am today professionally by staying motivated and never giving up , not only that they’re still genuine people out here. That see my vision and want to help me succeed because they see the power I hold when it comes to my music. I overcame my challenges by manipulating my emotions to not let me feel a certain way about hard situations and manifesting my greatness. Lessons that I have learned along the way is to study peoples personalities They’re not gonna always be the person you first remembered . Let God remove them so you can be great. I want the world to know that I will be great and I will succeed. I also have a clothing line called prosper, and the message behind this clothing line is to protect the youth prosper, grow and evolve. I want people who wants to prosper and grow together as an upcoming artist . I want to find my crowd of supporters that are willing to support me and be day ones from the ground up. I sell different things from clothes shoes, accessories, and home supplies.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting, I would take them to all the places I felt safe at when I was a little younger. Most of those places were either in my hometown or downtown Memphis I would also take my best friend to their favorite food places or my favorite food places. Growing up I had a lot of places in my hometown that made me feel at peace with myself. I normally would go to a few ponds and fish or I would hit back roads. I if I ever wanted to go to a spot to where I just wanted to talk and clear my head, I would go to bass pro pyramid in Memphis, and look at the Memphis bridge. Normally when I say that people look at me like I’m crazy lol the reason I go there is because the bridge has led lights all around it and they change colors at night,and it’s right underneath the Mississippi river. It’s a very peaceful scenery. There’s a lot of places that I would go in Memphis sometimes I like to bring the kid out of myself so I would take my best friend to either put put golf ,go cart riding ,main event, Dave & busters, bowling skating and etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to recognize seers spotlight she’s amazing. She deserves all the recognition in the world. She’s the most genuine person I know. I first met her at evolution 333. It’s a show for authentic artist that she had put together by herself. she works so hard to make sure that different artist gets the recognition that they deserve. She’s an amazing human being not only that she’s an absolute amazing mother as well. I have never in my life seen somebody work as hard as(Jennifer Ford). June 10. She has another show coming up and it’s evolution 444.

I’m also going to take the time to recognize my boysssss!! Coffey , lil tino , Krisiz jay, & dnzl I love my crew so much frfr . Everything is so beautiful genuine and authentic between us . Everyone is funny and very talented . We will all be performing at evolution 444 and it’s going to be immaculate!!
