We had the good fortune of connecting with Mari Casas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mari, do you disagree with some advice that is more or less universally accepted?
“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

While that might work for some things, I truly believe that just as we humans are constantly learning, growing, and embracing new experiences, our brands should too! Think about it: we’re always taking in new information, being inspired by fresh ideas, and adapting to the world around us. Our brands should reflect that dynamic energy. It’s essential to always be genuine and true to ourselves, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t evolve and change. Brands that continuously adapt and grow based on what they learn will always remain relevant and close to people’s hearts.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I was consulting for large CPG brands and although I loved the work I was doing, I didn’t always love who I was doing it for. often found myself wishing to champion brands that truly resonated with my own core values.

In response to this desire, I gravitated towards collaborating with small business owners. The drive, dedication, and unique stories they brought to the table deeply resonated with me. Now, I channel my skills to assist these passionate entrepreneurs, offering:

– Comprehensive Brand Strategy Development
– Brand Identities & Logo Designs
– Website Design
– Content Creation
– Photoshoot Planning & Supervision
– Thoughtful Social Media & Content Strategies

The road to where I stand today wasn’t always lined with roses. However, each challenge has shaped my approach, which is now a blend of experience, data, and intuition. We dive deep into all of their ideas & desires to birth something memorable. Something the customer not only purchases, but becomes a part of.

The lessons? Authenticity is invaluable, adaptability is a strength, and passion, when channeled correctly, can impact lives.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d definitely hit up Cato’s Bridge up in Jupiter. Go for a hike or canoe at Riverbend.

For food: Leftovers, Taco Chula, Stage, Warren, Dada.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
You know, my journey hasn’t exactly followed the typical path—I never made that college detour! But it’s been quite the adventure! Along the way, I’ve been blessed to meet some truly wonderful people who believed in my potential and gave me opportunities that changed my trajectory.

A major shoutout to Damon Brown of Dentovations, Inc. & the Luster Premium White brand. He saw something special in me back in 2008, guiding my first steps in marketing (with LOTS of patience, I might add!). He trusted me enough to become my very first client, and nudged me to explore consulting even further.

Other individuals who were incredible mentors to me are Bette Light of Light Years Ahead, and Chris Tisi of Hyper Network Solutions.

And for a little literary inspiration, two books have truly resonated with me: Elizabeth Gilbert’s “Big Magic!” and Peta Kelly’s “Earth is Hiring”. These gems have enlightened my perspective and fueled my passion for business.
