We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacquelyn Llorca and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jacquelyn, what matters most to you?
Authenticity is a core value of mine, especially in today’s world where so much feels artificial. While my personality may not always fit the mold, I believe it has helped me get to where I am today. In the workplace, authenticity has helped me build strong relationships with my boss, colleagues, and direct reports. I am able to communicate openly and honestly with them, and they feel comfortable asking me questions and learning from me. Authenticity has also made me more effective at my job, as we are able to cut through the fluff and focus on getting things done.

Please tell us more about your work. What you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I’m a risk-taker, which can be challenging in corporate America. But I’m proud of my career today, and I’m more excited than ever because I’ve discovered the formula for success: taking risks. Life is too short to play it safe, so I live it to the fullest and pursue my goals, no matter how uncomfortable it may be. Don’t let others hold you back. Stay focused on your goals and remember why you’re taking risks. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without risk-taking. It’s helped me learn, grow, and seize new opportunities.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m from the Fort Lauderdale area and love putting together itineraries for visiting friends. Since Fort Lauderdale is the yachting capital of the world, making sure we’re on the water as much as possible is a must! If renting a boat is too expensive, don’t worry! The water taxi is a great alternative to see Fort Lauderdale and check out the best waterfront restaurants, such as Southport Raw Bar, Shooters, Steak 954, 15th Street Fisheries, and Kaluz. A beach day is also a must-do. Check out the beach bars, such as Park and Ocean or Elbo Room. If you’re not a fan of the beach or want to mix things up, I recommend a relaxing pool day at one of the beachside hotels, such as the Marriott Harbor Beach or the W Hotel. Finally, don’t forget to visit Las Olas Boulevard, the heart of Fort Lauderdale, with a variety of shops and dining options, such as Gran Forno, Anne’s Flower Shop, El Camino, Louie Bossi’s, and Vinos.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my family, because without them, there would be no story. I wouldn’t be where I am today without their love, support, and encouragement. They have always been there for me, through thick and thin, from my parents and brother to my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. I am also grateful to my friends who have become family.
