We had the good fortune of connecting with Michelle Estevez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michelle, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I am a copywriter for the cause and if our attention and energy is the most valuable currency, then our vote is our dollar.

My copywriting business is geared toward visionaries and conscious leaders who are building the world we deserve to live in as a society.

Copy is the driving force behind every action we take and nothing makes me happier than helping businesses thrive financially and energetically with the power of the word.

After all, words are the most powerful tool in bridging worlds and in ending wars.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

I think we see a lot of talk about how we just need to vote for better leaders and vote for better laws, but this approach is deeply flawed and here’s why.

The most powerful vote an individual can ever make is with their energy—more specifically financial energy.

Where you choose to exchange your money, whether it be a product, service or investment, dictates how deep social change can occur.

Here’s the thing. I’m a rebel by default and I built my business entirely around the faith I have in aiding to build a better world. This is where my copywriting business comes out to play and shake things up.

Copywriting is the tool that drives someone to take action. It is most often seen in marketing campaigns for a product or service launch.

If you were to look at the sea of endless posts on social media, TV commercials, and billboards, for example, you’d see this as the playground where society directs their energy and attention. Ultimately, this is where attention turns into clicks and clicks turn into purchases.

Where are you investing your attention?

Since the collective subconscious is ruled by symbolism and language, it’s important I share some examples of the positives and negatives that can come from a campaign. Of course, if you are vigilant with how you invest your attention, you’ll be immune to the darker sides that keep society stuck on a repetitive loop.

Before we get to the good, let’s take a brief look at some of the most popular (yet horrific) campaigns like Camel’s tobacco campaign in 1948 featuring doctors endorsing cigarettes as a healthy pastime. A more recent example includes the campaign luring individuals with a free donut upon vaccination.

I could spend my time trying to bash these campaigns through my work, but that would be severely unproductive. Instead, I choose to work with businesses, coaches, and leaders who are actively creating a better option for people to vote for with their financial energy.

For example, I recently worked with an organization that helps land owners transform their property into an organic oasis to opt out of the major food supplies which are often ridden with harmful chemicals, GMOs and pesticides.

I’ve also helped holistic coaches, spiritual guides, and businesses within the conscious space to generate results through effective copywriting in turn helping their audiences make a lasting and positive change in their lives.

My services include email copywriting, landing pages, ads, SMS campaigns, VSLs, and vary depending on the solutions a specific business aims to create.

I’m grateful to do the work that I do and this is only the beginning. I look forward to creating a movement where everyone can learn copywriting as a personal tool in taking action for the lives they wish to lead.

If you’re reading this, I believe in you and your mission lies within you for a reason.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so many brilliant places to check out in St. Pete and I love getting to play tour guide when friends come to visit.

If my best friend called to say she was landing tomorrow night, I’d pick her up and take her to Grassroots for some kava. Most people don’t have experience with kava and since St. Pete is the kava capital, I love popping my friend’s kava cherries!

We’d obviously take it to go and then roller skate around the pier before dinner at Good Intentions.

To transition into the night, we’d definitely grab some ice cream from Plant Love before hitting up the Factory, St. Pete for arts, culture, and music.

Ok, fineeeee.

We’d also stop by my favorite beach spot and take a dip under the full moon.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to thank my mentors and colleagues for being by my side along every step of the journey.

Mike Forgie is a dear friend and a total marketing maven who I’ve collaborated with for some creative projects. Through our friendship, he introduced me to one of my very first mentors in the online writing and conscious space, Jennifer Sodini. She is a powerhouse who took me under her wing to learn the inside-outs of online publications and witnessing her career evolve has served as a supportive catalyst in staying true to our heart’s calling.

I’d also like to mention my most recent mentor, Sean Ferres. He showed me how to maximize my output and create results to support my work as a remote copywriter. I encourage all entrepreneurs and independent business owners to work with a mentor they trust. It makes all the difference in avoiding costly mistakes and putting yourself in the best position to succeed.

Thank you to Lisa Serrano who I had the pleasure of meeting last year. We instantly clicked over our shared interests in marketing and we have been able to work together on some really cool projects to support the flourishing arts community in St. Petersburg, FL.

I can’t fail to mention dear old mom and dad for always supporting my free spirit and wild heart. If I’m ever lucky enough to be a mother, I will remember their teachings and pass them down.

Last but not least, thank you to all the professors—those who praised my work and those who would humble me with the most brutal feedback. I aspire to remain a lifelong student to the many lessons this life provides as this is the undeniable force behind everything I do.
