We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Jean-Baptiste and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Jennifer: The seed was planted when I realized my accounting skills were not just good, but they were making a real difference. Clients and CPAs alike were consistently praising not just the quality of my work, but also how I organized and communicated everything so clearly. It became clear that I had something valuable to offer, beyond what I could achieve in my then-current role. So, with a mix of naivety and confidence in my abilities, I took the leap to start my own venture. Since starting on March 12th, 2018, my mission has expanded from mere number crunching to empowering entrepreneurs. It’s about helping them step into their roles as CEOs, equipped with clarity and purpose. I’ve learned that a successful business hinges on more than just a great product or service. It requires mastery over the essential pillars: accounting, marketing/sales, and fulfillment. My journey included a significant pivot—from being self-employed to thinking and acting like a CEO, which opened my eyes to the bigger picture and the importance of a well-rounded strategy.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Jennifer: What sets me apart is my holistic perspective. I understand that fulfillment delivers on your business’s promises, marketing drives growth, and accounting is the rhythm ensuring smooth operations. Understanding these things with my personal experiences and challenges as an entrepreneur, I’ve crafted a unique approach that not only addresses the numbers but also the operational and growth aspects of a business. It’s about providing a comprehensive package that guides entrepreneurs to not only dream but to do, leading their ventures to lasting success and impact.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Jennifer: Oh, we’d have a blast exploring the rich cultural tapestry of South Florida, starting with its diverse cuisine—Haitian, Jamaican, Trinidadian, Peruvian, Colombian, and Cuban, to name a few. I love discovering gems through Google reviews, so we’d definitely embark on a culinary adventure. Of course, a visit to South Florida isn’t complete without beach time and exploring the Everglades, perhaps finding some cool activities on Groupon. And I’d look for a fun group activity or networking event on Eventbrite to round out the experience.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Jennifer: I want to highlight my village: My family, my friends, and my church. I thank God for the people and community that He has placed in my life. They’ve encouraged, supported, and loved me with words AND action. A special shoutout to my little human, my sunshine, Makayla. I love you the most.
