We had the good fortune of connecting with Thaddeus Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Thaddeus, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I have developed this great passion for reading books that teaches practical things. Coming out of my shell and build lasting relationships with others. Setting small goals for myself and achieving them one by one. Eating healthier and exercise. I challenge myself by setting higher bars. As a creator it’s easy to hide away from the world. In order for me not be a caveman I try to stay update with the newest trends, fashions, and techs. This one is not the easiest but it’s the most important one, organizing my finances. I filter feedbacks in two category constructive and deconstructive. All in all I do these every month.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is an expensive escape. It involves the satisfaction of my clients, super vibrant because of the elements used while creating. The key thing that sets me apart from everybody is my colour, techniques, angles, and visual texture I use in every project that I’m doing. I am proud to see those moments when someone is viewing my work in public with great admiration without knowing that I designed or edited it. I got where I am today by applying the 10,000 hours theory, betting on myself and registered my business. It wasn’t easy but it wasn’t hard because it’s my passion I was able overlook the negatives and group them as lessons learnt to carry out business as per usual. I have learnt that not because business is slow means you’re failing. All businesses go through slow period/s and they always pick up. I would like everyone to know that behind every great brand there’s a visionary that started it like me. Thaddeus Deluxe Studio is a brand that sees the future and changes the past.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
1. For food I would recommend Chicken and Tings on 83 Mannings hill rd Kingston 8 for local cuisine. 2. Bob Marley Museum Hope Rd, Kingston
3. Chukka, Ocho Rios for outdoor adventure on ATV’s and other rides.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
“The Richest Man in Babylon” has always inspired me. They used simple everyday stories to solve one problem. I think that is very encouraging because as an entrepreneur I face similar issues sometimes and knowing that there’s a solution fuels me to keep going.
