Hi Eddie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to find a way to incorporate some of the things I’m good at in a way that helps others. I wanted to be in a space where I was challenged differently with each project. It’s been really rewarding for me to dive into my creative side and come up with unique ideas for entrepreneurs and business owners.

What should our readers know about your business?
So, about my business, 2XM Media – it all started back in 2018. I was at the gym, right in the middle of a set, when this question hit me: “Why aren’t you turning the things you enjoy doing into profitable situations?” I’ve always been into digital stuff and creative design, so I thought, “Why not start your own agency?” I kicked things off with logo and web design, and before I knew it, we were a full-service agency handling advertising, social media management, and SEO services too.

What makes me stand out? Well, I stay true to myself. My clients appreciate that I’m down-to-earth and professional without changing who I am. They get a sense of comfort knowing they’re dealing with someone real and accessible. I don’t do the whole suit-and-tie thing or put on a different personality just to sell what some might consider “professionalism.” My clients love getting modern ideas and real creative solutions from someone who’s genuine.

I’m super proud of how far I’ve come and the feedback I’ve gotten from clients. The biggest thrill for me is helping other business owners like myself reach their full potential. Knowing that I’m contributing with their best interests in mind feels amazing. Starting this business wasn’t a walk in the park. I tackled my challenges by keeping my confidence high and trusting that there were people out there who valued what I had to offer. When you’re starting out, it’s natural to second-guess yourself or your prices if things aren’t picking up right away. But staying true to yourself is key. You’ve got to believe in the worth of your services. Do your homework on the market and your competitors, set your prices realistically, and stick to them.

I want the world to know that 2XM Media is all about delivering top-notch experiences. I’m working to set a new standard in digital marketing with a model I’ve created out of passion. Growing this business has been an incredibly rewarding journey, and I’ve been fortunate to connect with so many amazing professionals along the way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Miami is unbeatable when it comes to choices, but South Florida as a whole is just bursting with variety. If I had to pick a favorite, it’s all about rice and beans for me. Growing up Haitian in Miami, FL, those flavors are like a taste of home. Lately, I’ve been exploring some of the less recognized gems, like Pearl of the Island Caribbean Cuisine in Margate, FL. Even though I travel a lot for work and get to try so many different foods, there’s something special about being home in Miami when it comes to hanging out and meeting new people.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ve got to give a big shout-out to Gaelle Winesberry owner of Coco Brooke, who’s been a huge part of my success. Starting a business from scratch isn’t easy, and having someone like Gaelle to brainstorm with and get real feedback from has been a game-changer. When you’re super focused on your business, it’s easy to get stuck in your own perspective. Sometimes, we need that outside view to remind us not to just go with what we think our audience wants, but to really listen and adapt.
