We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Goff and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amanda, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
As a mom of 3 boys and then 10 years later to finally have a little girl I wanted her to have all the boutique clothing. When I started shopping for her clothes I realized just how expensive little girls clothing is. I knew that if I thought that way there had to be others that felt the same way. With that thought Kennslees Closet was born. I chose to name my boutique after my daughter because she is my inspiration.

What should our readers know about your business?
I think what sets Kennslees Closet apart from others is our ability to keep prices fair so everyone can enjoy the boutique style.

We started out by setting up at every craft show I could find, where we were building a large following. We eventually were given the opportunity to set up in Gypsy Outlaw in Fort Myers for the Christmas season. Things went very well and we were given the opportunity to stay full time. Making this move to having a small store front has truly made by business grow faster then I ever imagined.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am very family oriented person and my kids are my everything, so all activities would be family friendly. One of our favorite things to do is visit Disney so that would definitely be on the agenda. We also enjoy looking for sharks teeth around Venice Beach and finish with trip for ice cream. We also love taking our razor out to all our local spots.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My biggest accomplishments are backed by my family. My fiance Jake Butler, my dad Henry MacArty, my mom Melody MacArty and my step-dad Brian Mount and my kids. There dedication to my business has allowed me to succeed to the level I have reached.
