We had the good fortune of connecting with Aya Kuanysh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aya, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Originally, the idea behind starting my own business was to be independent from any employer and have an opportunity to challenge myself daily. I believe that having a job challenges you to grow to a certain level, where you are a top specialist in something niche. However, any truly passionate business owner has to develop in all kinds of fields: b2b, b2c communication, marketing, PR, financial planning. Essentially, I believed starting my own business would create a better version of myself.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career path started in 2018 after I graduated from the University of Lincoln BA (Honors) Business & Finance. The first job I had was in Ernst & Young as a Global Tax Compliance intern. One of the biggest consulting firms in the world gave me a priceless experience of the top-notch corporate world. I moved on with a promotion to Deloitte, where I learned tax analysis and juggling 7 projects at once.
In 2020, I moved to Miami and continued my professional path here. Luckily, I managed to acquire invaluable experience working in a hedge fund, specializing in online banking organization for multi-billion financial institution. Later, I had a pleasure being a Senior Accountant in a construction company overlooking compliance and throughout detailed audit of 5 years’ worth of financials.
After a few years of 80-hour work weeks, I finally realized that I would be a perfect financial consulting business owner, considering a unique experience I have.

My journey hasn’t been easy not even for a day, but with a strong faith in myself I was able to thrive.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Being a Miami local there are a few standard places on my mind for a visiting friend.
1. Miami night life will definitelly include popular bars and restaurants, such as: Sugar, Rosa Sky and Tea Room. Those places have wonderful cocktails and a breathtaking view. All within a walking distance – perfect for a bar crawl night.
2. Miami Design District – perfect place for Instagram pictures and a delicious lunch at Sofia restaurant.
3. Joia and Nikki Beach – a great way to combine a great quality beach day and outdoor bar/ restaurant activity.
4. Miami Heat game is a must for a complete Miami experience!
5. West Palm Beach day trip

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give the biggest recognition to my mother. She has been the biggest business mogul in life. Her extraordinary skills to create a successful business model out of thin air has always facinated me. During my teenage years, my mom developed a number of ventures in telecommunication, dentistry, restaurant business and a few other fields. I learned from her that nothing is impossible and all the limitations only exist in your head.
