Hi Julissa, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Everything in life involves some level of risk, but some risks can be more rewarding than others. If you marry, you risk divorce; if you drive, you risk a car crash; if you have a job, you risk losing it. The point is, risk is inevitable, even if it varies in degrees.

I believe it’s worthwhile to take risks that have the potential for high returns. Besides, you can mitigate risks through actionable steps, such as educating yourself. For example, you’re more likely to crash if you never learned how to drive.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is a Real Estate Investment Group. Our main focus is syndicating to buy multifamily properties; however, we also develop single-family homes. We are always looking to partner with investors to generate returns on their investments.

This business — like any other — is not easy. It involves a lot of rejection, adaptation, and endurance. The most significant factor that has helped me overcome challenges is building a strong mindset. This primarily means training myself to overcome self-doubt.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Bayside Market Place.

Start off with brunch, take a walk and enjoy ocean view, then visit the shops, next a boat ride, and in the evening some dancing!
