Meet Joshua Gomez | Guitar Teacher

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joshua Gomez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joshua, what matters most to you?
To me, integrity matters most. What would this world be if we didn’t act righteous? Our decisions shape us and everyone else.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Fortunately, I was around before social media and smart phones took over.

Back then we had to interact with other humans.

In 2009 is when I hopped into the music scene. Taking over Miami with a band called Mourning the Wicked.

Studying in middle school at the time.. most kids are not responsible. But I made sure to show up every rehearsal.

You might have seen us perform at ‘Revolution Live’ or ‘The Miami-Dade County Fair’.

Over the years , I joined many bands, in different genres. Moved to Orlando.

Jumped into teaching music at the age of 16. Without a doubt, scared away people in the beginning.

But those losses were actually lessons.

Leading me to develop a curriculum for Guitar Lessons.

Eventually stumbled into another musical lunatic named Sean Jollie.
We made a successful YouTube channel called ‘Scar My Guitar’.

Moved back to Miami..
I stole a real-estate ad idea for my music lessons (‘3 Bedroom/2 Bath’).

Miami-dade County hates my guts for putting up street signs.

They tried fining me over $3.000.00 for small signs on the side of the road.

We have spent thousands on advertisements for billboards, which converted into no customers.

Now, I’m managing for the biggest lesson company in the world: Guitar Center.

Any friend’s visiting me? HA! Good joke..
But seriously,
we will probably have a couple beers while listening to live music.
