We had the good fortune of connecting with Joseph Welch and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joseph, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued an artistic career because I find creating to be extremely invigorating, rewarding, and stimulating. I feel very much alive while creating. To create something out of nothing is very satisfying. Knowing that others can benefit from what I’ve created is in itself a reward. I feel very grateful and thankful to have such a career.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is real estate photography- interior/exterior, twilight, and aerial for both residential and commercial applications. What sets me apart from others is attention to detail, very fast response time, and my ability to adapt and problem solve when faced with an unusual or atypical situation. I got where am I today business wise from listening attentively to the details of my clients requests and fulfilling them. Also by treating each customer as I would like to be treated. It wasn’t difficult in that I am a firm believer in that what you reap you will sow. Many times I have been blessed by a variety of services that I’ve hired so I’m inclined to be a blessing to others. One of the lessons that I’ve learned is that no matter what your field of work may be continuing education is a must especially in this extremely competitive society that we live in. We should always strive to improve our craft by learning new and better ways of doing things. We should also be willing to assist those that are new in the field as we were all once helped. What I would want the world to know about my company is that we always strive for perfection, pay very close attention to detail, get the job done timely, and at a very competitive rate.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As a host of many travelers I prefer to take my guests to the non touristy places. I take them paddle boarding along Whiskey Creek in Hollywood, sailing on the open ocean on my Hobie Catamaran, and if they are certified I take them scuba diving on one of the many shipwrecks that are along our shores. For meals I prefer the mom and pop places vs. the big chains that can be found in any city. Places along A1A in Fort Lauderdale or at Bayside Marketplace in Miami.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank Leo Geiss of https://www.idahoairships.com based in Boise, Idaho and Todd Quam of https://www.digitalsky.us based in Sacramento, CA. Both of these two men were extremely helpful to me back in 2003 when I started my elevated photography business utilizing a 50 vehicle mounted telescoping mast. I met them both online and eventually visited both of their locations and remain friends with both of them to this day.
