We had the good fortune of connecting with Emilio Colon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emilio, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
I think the most important thing that my wife and myself have done as parents with Enasia Colon and Emilio Colon Jr in terms of impacting our children is explaining to our children that anything that you want in life will not happen without work. Meaning, if you want to be successful in business, if you want to be successful with relationships personal or business if you wanna be successful with your spirituality in your community, whatever it may be it’s not gonna come without the work being done. And also expressing to them that that process of work usually is very very difficult, but the reward is always worth it at the end even if in the beginning, you can’t see it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I think what sets me apart from others is that I don’t mind putting in the work that needs to be done in order to try to be successful and everything that we do. Some people they just wanna be entrepreneur, CEO bosses and they don’t wanna get their hands dirty as for me I don’t mind getting my hands and leading by example. I think it shows character and teaches in Enasia who is 20 years old and Emilio Junior, who is 16 years old, the foundation of what it takes in order to be a successful young entrepreneur. Some of the lessons I’ve learned along the ways that it’s better to try and fail did not try at all and that’s a tale as old as time. What we want the world to know about a brand is that anybody with determination drive in a dream can achieve anything they really wanna achieve no matter how many people tell you can’t do it or might be a dumb idea. Do you have to pretty much block out a lot of that negativity and stay focused on the goal because there will be distractions and many people trying to tell you what you can and cannot do. So just be motivated driven, and stay focused on the task and you can achieve anything that you want. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Trick question depending on where I am if I’m down in Miami, I would love to stay with my family at Epic Hotel beautiful hotel there spa services are amazing massages nail tech aestheticians. They do an amazing job. Probably grab a bite to eat at either Area 31 or go down to Prime 112. If the World Baseball Classic is in town probably watch Dominican Republic play Puerto Rico at Marlin Park. If it’s in Fort Lauderdale, I like going to a little hotel spot called the SunTowerHotel right on the water. Stay there enjoy some tapas in their beachside restaurant.
