Hi Colin, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Risk is everything.

There were many risks I had to take to get to where I am today. Moving across the country 2 times in 2 years was very risky and difficult, but it has paid off

You have to take risks in order to get to where you want to be. There is no other option.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a custom shoe artist that is mainly known for cutting up sports jerseys and applying them onto shoes. I started by painting custom shoes while I was in Architecture school at Kent State University. I learned many skills such as 3D pritning, adobe photoshop and illustrator, and 3d modeling.

I applied these skills to customizing shoes which helped me stand out at the time. Eventually I picked up the skill of sewing and I tend to use that skill the most on my recent work.

Some of my notable clients have been Justin Timberlake, Morgan Wallen, Pringles, Philadelphia Eagles, Nesquik, and most recently Brittany Mahomes.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
@majorwavezlab was where I got my first start. The Owner, Ruben Barrazza, showed me a lot about the industry and what it takes to be successful. Taught me the language to talk to brands and corporate partners and things like that. He became my mentor in LA.

Fast forward, I move to Miami, and I met another mentor by the name of Chris Donnell at a superbowl party. He really opened my eyes to see what is possible and what I am capable of.

I thank both of them for being apart of this journey.
