We had the good fortune of connecting with Martha Brust and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Martha, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was like igniting a flame that had been burning in me since my early days in the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro. There, I saw firsthand the transformative power that beauty care could have on the lives of those around me, and with each client I served, a dream took shape. Over the years, I built my skills and deepened my understanding of the impact I wanted to create. I didn’t just want to provide a service; I wanted to create a space of trust, care, and transformation, where every client felt valued and seen.
When I moved to the United States, that dream took on new dimensions. I left Brazil with determination, facing cultural and professional barriers, but I knew that my experience and passion were strengths that could take me far. When the pandemic shut down the salon I was working at, I saw an opportunity to innovate: I started going to clients’ homes, building an even stronger connection with the local community.
This experience taught me the value of resilience and adaptability. Building my business in America was challenging, but it was, above all, a journey of personal and professional growth. Today, every client I serve carries with them the story of where I came from and what I overcame to be here. My business embodies everything I’ve learned and the lives I’ve touched, and what sets me apart is this unique blend of technique and heartfelt dedication.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work is more than just taking care of hair — it’s a mission to transform lives through beauty and warmth. What sets me apart is the personalized care I give to each client. Every person I serve receives unique attention and kindness, as if they were family. I’m proud to have built a career based on trust and friendship with my clients, a relationship that was earned day by day.
The journey wasn’t easy. I faced financial challenges, cultural differences, and even a pandemic that took me out of the salon where I worked. But instead of giving up, I adapted and began offering in-home services for my clients, taking every precaution. This brought me even closer to the community and showed the value of being there for them, even in the hardest times.
I’ve learned that success comes from resilience and the ability to reinvent oneself. Every challenge reminded me of what brought me here: my love for this profession and my desire to make a difference. My brand reflects all of that, and I want the world to know that, with me, every client finds much more than a beauty service; they find a commitment to self-esteem, care, and a truly transformative experience.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit, I’d make sure they had an unforgettable experience exploring the very best the area has to offer. With a week to spend together, here’s an itinerary that would make anyone fall in love with the region:

We’d start with a relaxing day at Delray Beach, strolling along Atlantic Avenue and having lunch at Deck 84, overlooking the water. Then, we’d unwind on the beach, enjoying the sunset by the shore.
Day 2: Exploring Boca Raton
In the morning, we’d visit Mizner Park in Boca Raton, a charming spot with boutiques and outdoor cafes. Lunch would be at Louie Bossi’s, a lively spot with fantastic Italian cuisine. In the afternoon, we’d visit the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, where the serene gardens and Japanese culture create an enchanting experience.
Day 3: Adventures in Palm Beach
Palm Beach is a paradise! We’d walk down Worth Avenue, admiring the boutiques and classic architecture. Lunch would be a luxurious experience at The Breakers, with stunning ocean views. We’d finish the day with a visit to the Norton Museum of Art, which always features fascinating exhibits.
Day 4: Nature and Tranquility
For a peaceful day, we’d head to Wakodahatchee Wetlands, a natural reserve perfect for bird watching and exploring trails. Lunch would be at Dada in Delray Beach, a unique spot with an artistic vibe and memorable dining experience.
Day 5: Culture and Fun in West Palm Beach
In West Palm Beach, we’d explore Rosemary Square with great options for shopping and entertainment. We’d enjoy Happy Hour at the RH Rooftop Restaurant, with incredible views and excellent cocktails. If possible, we’d end the night with a show or concert at the Kravis Center.
Day 6: Local Shopping and Experiences
We’d dedicate the day to exploring local markets and charming shops in Boynton Beach, with lunch at one of my favorites, Banana Boat, where the relaxed atmosphere is perfect for unwinding.
Day 7: Special Finale on Singer Island
On the final day, we’d take a special trip to Singer Island. After a morning at the beach, we’d have lunch at Sailfish Marina, then wrap up the trip with a sunset boat ride, toasting to an incredible week together!
This itinerary captures the essence of the area, from nature and relaxation to cultural and dining experiences.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to God, my source of strength and wisdom at every step of this journey. Without Him, I wouldn’t have had the courage to push forward, dream big, and overcome challenges. I’m also immensely grateful to my family, who believed in me every step of the way, offering unwavering love and support. They have been, and will always be, my foundation, and every achievement I reach carries a part of them with it.
