We had the good fortune of connecting with Fulden Wernli and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Fulden, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My business began from my own adventure through hormonal chaos and the frustration of conventional ‘solutions’ that seemed more like band-aids than real fixes. Growing up in Türkiye, I watched the women around me battle painful periods, acne, and mood swings—treating these struggles as ‘normal’. When I moved to the U.S., I was handed birth control like it was some magic cure-all, which—spoiler alert—only led to more issues. It wasn’t until I moved to Switzerland and started mirroring nature’s rhythms that I discovered the power of syncing with my own body. That’s when I finally found true relief and healing. Through this process, I realized that understanding our body’s language is the key to becoming our own health advocate as women. Unfortunately, even though we’re swimming in an ocean of health and wellness advice, much of it doesn’t align with our unique female biochemistry—leading to the reality that 80% of women experience PMS today. I was shocked to learn that I could prevent pregnancy naturally, live pain-free, and manage my hormonal cycle without synthetic hormones. And honestly? I got a little mad. How had I never been taught this about my own body? Living in sync with my cycle didn’t just heal my painful periods or my fear of unwanted pregnancies; it liberated me from the limiting belief that womanhood means suffering and allowed me to fully step into my feminine power. This was a game-changer, and I couldn’t keep it to myself—I wanted other women to experience this freedom, too! That’s why I created A State of Balance: to empower women to unlock their body’s unique language and finally ditch the monthly mystery. I believe every woman deserves a life free from cramps, acne, and all the other ‘fun’ surprises—a life where she feels confident, pain-free, and truly in sync with her body.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets A State of Balance apart is that we go beyond symptom relief. Splitting my time between Switzerland and Miami lets me bring together the best wellness practices from both worlds, offering my clients a truly global approach to health.
My mission is to empower women to understand and embrace their hormonal cycles—to turn their bodies into allies rather than mysteries to manage.
The foundation of my approach begins with mindset mastery, where we address the thoughts and beliefs that shape our health choices and confidence. From there, we dive into body awareness—teaching clients to understand the unique language of their bodies. As a result, they learn to trust their intuition, shutting out the outside noise about what to eat, when to eat, or how to exercise. Decisions are guided by each client’s unique body wisdom and rhythms, rather than one-size-fits-all advice. From countless sessions and personal experience, I’ve learned that hormone health is incredibly individual. My mission is to give clients the tools and confidence they need to fully understand, trust, and advocate for their own health.
Finally, we bring everything together with the Life in Sync™ Method, a personalized plan that aligns nutrition, movement, and lifestyle with each client’s natural hormonal cycles. I’m most proud of watching women gain real confidence and freedom in their bodies, whether they’re achieving pregnancy, transitioning off birth control, or simply feeling at home in their own skin. This holistic, intuition-led approach is the heart of A State of Balance.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
How exciting! To kick off our week together, we’d start with an unforgettable sunrise on the beach, where I’d pack a cozy porridge breakfast to enjoy by the water. In the evening, if we’re lucky enough to have a full moon, we’d experience a moonrise meditation and yoga session—a unique Miami moment, sharing calm and connection under the moonlight. We’d stroll along the waterfront in Coconut Grove, ideally timed with a gorgeous sunset, then head to Motek for a Mediterranean-inspired dinner where we can savor delicious flavors in a relaxed atmosphere. For a fresh morning experience, we’d visit a local farmers market to pick up seasonal fruits and other local treats.
We’d make sure to hit a strength training class together, taking advantage of the energizing effects of movement, especially in the first half of our cycles. For a day of pure relaxation, we’d recharge at The Standard Spa, indulging in the sauna and Turkish hammam—a perfect escape to release toxins and fully unwind. On the weekend, we’d brunch at El Turco, where they serve the best Turkish breakfast spread in town (and a taste of home for me!). If there’s live music happening outdoors, we’d be dancing under the Miami sky, enjoying the spirit-lifting energy that only music can bring. Between outings, we’d spend time on morning or evening walks, strolling the beach or lush parks to soak up Miami’s natural beauty and have some quieter moments to recharge.
I’d make sure to plan with cycle syncing in mind, adapting our activities based on where we are in our cycles. During the first half, we’d embrace the higher-energy, adventurous outings—strength training, dancing, exploring—while for the second half, we’d slow down with cozy, restorative activities. Syncing with our cycles makes the trip more enjoyable and helps me be a mindful, attentive host, respecting our bodies’ natural rhythms and setting boundaries to honor our needs every step of the way.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to give a shoutout to some key resources that have deeply impacted my journey: Beyond the Pill by Dr. Jolene Brighten, Flo Living by Alisa Vitti, Fertility Awareness by Tori Welsch, and the Mindvalley community. Beyond the Pill opened my eyes to the effects of hormonal birth control on my body, while Flo Living taught me the power of aligning my life with my cycle. The Fertility Awareness community, guided by Tori Welsch, gave me the knowledge and confidence to manage my health naturally, and Mindvalley has been invaluable in expanding my mindset and personal growth. Each of these resources played a crucial role in helping me reconnect with my body and purpose, empowering me to guide others on their own journeys.
