Meet Miguel Gonzalez | Musician & Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Miguel Gonzalez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Miguel, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Since early childhood, I have always had a natural gravitation and strong passion for music and arts. I began playing drums at the age of 6 years old and got my first guitar at 10 years old. My interest in writing songs and creating music is what led learn multiple instruments and eventually start my business as a producer. As as well seasoned musician, I also enjoy teaching and working with new and upcoming artist to reach their dreams musically. Sharing my gifts and experience with other gives me a great sense of gratification. And, as a musician, I still love playing live shows and enjoy watching the crowd appreciate the music.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My musical influences have played a major role in my diversity and adaptability in writing and creating music for many genres. Hard work, dedication to your instrument and gifts, striving to continuously learn and adapt to changes have been key factors to my success. I encourage musicians to not give up when things get hard. Life is not always easy. In the end, there can be great success and rewards.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
South Florida gives us a plethora of amazing things to do. Some of my favorite things to do in South Florida is spending time outside, taking a day trips to the Keys, a bike ride in Shark Valley, chilling out at Hollywood Beach, and eating sushi. Of course, there are numerous places to go and enjoy live music as well.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A shout out to my parents and teachers who supported me at and early age to live my life pursuing my dreams and passion as a musician. I would also like to give thanks to all of the musicians that I have shared the stage with during my career. And, to all of the students and upcoming musicians that keep the music alive by pursuing their dreams by allowing me to work with them in accomplishing that pursuit. It has been an amazing journey!
