Meet Michi Sanz | Singer & Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Michi Sanz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michi, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Born in Maracay, Venezuela, Michelle Valentina Sanz Mateu, artistically known as Michi Sanz, began her musical career at the age of 6, where she discovered that music is her true passion, since then she has always been in festivals, media, majors events to show the world its evolution. Singing this 2023 at SXSW.

Her passion for her music led her to win various awards in her native country, as a singer-songwriter, including the Mara de Oro and nominations at the Latin Plug awards. She is currently a member of the Latin GRAMMY academy and THE RECORDING ACADEMY. She became a songwriter for other international artists such as Leslie Shaw, Jossef the Universal Music label, in addition to making the most globally positioned Zinc for ZUMBA.

In 2023, Rolling Stones named her in “Artists to listen to” and Billboard Latin in “Artists you should have on your radar.” The story of my story is read in the title of her songs and is heard in her music and influences. . It has more than 120 thousand streams on the Spotify platform thanks to a unique and personal interpretation of Pop Rock in Spanish with a privileged voice and a fresh sound with a lot of personality.
Their lyrics define real life situations and moments that we have all gone through. They are stories that will lead me to sing to the world that we can Dream, Love, cry and dance.
Under the guidance of her work team, her next single called “ME VALE V” is out now.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I feel like Miami is a very fun city. It has parties every week… My favorite places are:
Downton Miami, Brickell, Coral Gables and Coconut Grove..
