Meet Raul Del Palacio | Music Video Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Raul Del Palacio and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Raul, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
So I have always been a big investor in stocks and crypto but I never really invested in myself. I had all these ideas but never really committed to anything. When I found out I was going to be a father I realized it was going to be now or never. I needed to pull the trigger. I had connections, I had a brand, and I had ideas. I bought a camera and committed to videography because I knew the opportunities were going to get slimmer and the last thing I wanted to live with was not being able to tell my son that I pursued my dreams, when that’s what I want him to do.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
This upcoming year, I have several exciting collaborations lined up across various countries. I’ve always had a passion for shooting and editing videos, and while I’ve previously worked on music videos, this past year I made a firm commitment to building my own platform dedicated to highlighting Latin artists. It’s been a major focus for me, and I’ve been working tirelessly to grow it and give visibility to the emerging talent I collaborate with.
Getting here wasn’t easy. It was incredibly difficult to find people who would take a chance on me, but I’m grateful for a few artists in Colombia who shared the vision and gave me that initial opportunity. I took a big risk traveling to Medellín, Colombia at my own expense, just to prove myself and start creating meaningful content. That leap of faith paid off, and I’ve since been able to produce work that truly represents my vision and values.
Throughout this journey, I’ve learned so much—not just about the technical aspects of video production, but about navigating different cultures, understanding people, and recognizing who I can trust. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that collaboration is essential for growth. As I continue to develop the platform, my ultimate goal is to build a globally recognized brand that supports and uplifts artists around the world.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So we would stay at my Tia’s house in the heart of Flagami. Everything good is within shooting distance of Miami International Airport so we wouldn’t need to go far. Every morning we are walking to a local bakery or corner store to eat tequeños or empanadas. We could switch it up some mornings and eat fresh fruit. Lunch is going to be Palacio De Los Jugos on West Flagler and we have enough lunch options to last us a month so we can keep it fresh everyday. For dinner options we have Flanigan’s, Latin Cafe, La Granja, and Amara de Paraiso. Coyo Taco will be a solid late night grub spot. This is just a food.
One it comes to daytime extracurriculars we would spend time on Kendall Dr looking at all the plant nurseries. Parks are always gonna be a good spot to play some basketball or dominoes. We don’t want to be staying out late every night but on those late nights we would hop around some of the late night spots in Wynwood. On the evenings where we stay in we would go to my cousins place for game nights which usually consist of dominoes and then all the cousins deciding they can do more pullups and pushups then the other so save dessert until after that. Nighttime weather is always nice for a refreshing dip in a pool. We stay away from the beach for the most part unless you really just want to see South Beach
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My biggest shoutout would have to be my mother. She is not only my hero but my biggest supporter. Everything I do, I do it to make her proud. She has my back no matter what. Every time I drop a video she’s the first to FaceTime me and walk her through how to put it on the TV screen in the living room. She even goes so far to learn how to use emojis to help the algo on social media.
