We had the good fortune of connecting with Christy Clark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christy, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I was born and raised in Miami, FL, with a strong sense of resilience and determination, shaped by my parents’ hardworking example. Seeing my parents navigate their struggles while making sure my siblings and myself had opportunities definitely instilled a deep understanding of the value of hard work and perseverance. Watching them grind through their 9-5 jobs and realizing I didn’t want to just contribute to someone else’s wealth but build my own success. My mindset of striving for independence and personal success drives my ambition today.

Growing up in a working class family fostered an understanding that success doesn’t come easily, but it’s achievable through effort, resourcefulness, and a sense of purpose. I develop a solid work ethic and an entrepreneurial mindset watching my parents work hard to give us every opportunity they could. Now, instead of following the traditional route, I am focused on creating wealth and success for myself, driven by a desire to make my own impact.

This foundation I was given and passed on from my parents, made me a hard working, resilient, ambitious human being.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a travel documentary wedding photographer. I strongly believe what sets us apart from the other amazing photographers out there is our brand. The way we capture the moment as it happens, all the emotions of the day and just our easy going, happy go lucky vibes we bring to your day. Not only do you hire us to be a pivotal part of your day, capturing all the moments happening, but we are there as your friend, psychologist, friends to your friends and being part of your family.

How did I get to where I am today? It’s simple. Hard work, never giving up, believing in myself and just taking the leap of faith. It wasn’t easy and it still isn’t easy. I continue to work hard and evolve with the times. There have been plenty of challenges to overcome from standing out from other photographers work to beating prices and the list goes on, but we have built a strong enough brand to where all those challenges seem minimal at the moment.

What do I want the world to know about me? I’m just a woman who had a dream of being a photographer, my own boss, to create memories for people because at the end of the day, memories is what we have. Photos are proof that these beautiful moments happened and when your memories go because you’re old and can’t remember, photos are left behind to bring those memories back. Here I am, striving to be the best photographer and working day in and day out to make my dreams happen.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Miami I’d definitely take them to have some fun. Escape rooms, cool restaurants, the beach for sure.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this series to my husband Alex who is a huge part of the support system in my life, he’s pushed me forward and is always by my side through all my crazy ideas. My parents and siblings for being my number one fans and always pushing me through every moment in my life.
