Meet Cierra Desmaratti

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cierra Desmaratti and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cierra, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
Cierra the Confidence Guru is evolving into a powerful global brand rooted in authenticity, storytelling, and unapologetic self expression. I see myself leading public speaking engagements around the world, not only in the content space, but also at prestigious universities, corporate summits, and international leadership events. Whether I am speaking to students at Harvard or collaborating with major companies, my mission is to show others the power of building a personal brand that is aligned with who they truly are.
At the core of my brand is the fusion of both masculine and feminine energy, where bold leadership meets softness, creativity, and elegance. I teach others how storytelling can be used not only to build a business or digital presence, but to attract aligned relationships, communities, and a lifestyle rooted in purpose.
I also see myself collaborating with fashion and beauty brands that reflect luxury, multidimensionality, and confidence. Whether it’s Revolve, House of CB, Hello Molly, Princess Polly, or legacy brands like Tiffany and Co., I want to work with companies that reflect the boldness and divine femininity I embody. From statement dresses to skincare and makeup, my image is an extension of my voice, and every brand I work with will reflect that same expansive energy.
As someone living in Miami and aligned with divine feminine expression, I see myself attending exclusive events like Art Basel, Miami Swim Week, and luxury brand hosted retreats that celebrate fashion, storytelling, and bold self expression. My presence at these events is not just about attending. It is about embodying the energy of someone who is magnetic, intentional, and worthy of every room she walks into.
In addition to brand partnerships, I see myself featured on influential podcasts and speaking in rooms filled with powerful leaders – not just creators, but entrepreneurs, founders, and visionaries. I want to collaborate with people who are shaping the future and creating conversations that spark transformation. I will eventually launch my own podcast to hold space for those same high level conversations, while continuing to build community through my voice and truth.
This brand was born after I got laid off from my first job out of college at Deloitte at just 24 years old. What started as a TikTok post in March 2024 evolved into a global movement. By September 2024, my story was featured in Business Insider and garnered over 2 million reads. That moment led to global features in the Financial Times – which is also accessible through the Harvard website, El Tiempo in Colombia, the Hindustan Times in India. In less than a year, I turned vulnerability into visibility and built a magnetic brand rooted in truth.
My brand will grow through multiple streams of income, from digital products and coaching to public speaking, strategy consulting, and content creation. As I continue expanding this brand and business, I see myself being recognized on lists like Forbes 30 Under 30 for building a movement rooted in truth, feminine leadership, and unapologetic self-expression.
Living in Miami, a city that celebrates color, creativity, and bold self expression, has helped me embody my most powerful self. I will continue showing the world what feminine success looks like – not just in business, but in healing, wholeness, and leadership.
The vision is clear. I am building a legacy brand that does not just inspire. It liberates.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I help people build personal brands rooted in alignment, truth, and confidence. Whether that means attracting aligned friendships, calling in healthy relationships, growing their digital presence, or raising their standards in dating, I guide people into building a life and brand that fully reflects who they are. Through one on one coaching, digital resources, and content across platforms like TikTok and YouTube, I show people how to own their power and use storytelling as a tool for transformation. My business is not just about content. It is about healing, self discovery, and leading with confidence. I am the founder of Cierra the Confidence Guru because confidence and authenticity are what awakened my power as a woman. A woman who is deeply tapped into her confidence and authenticity is an unstoppable force. But she is also intimidating to people who thrive off of control or still operate from a vibration of insecurity. And I am not afraid of that. I built this brand so others could find the courage to do the same.
What inspired this mission was my own transformation. I got laid off at 24 from my first job out of college at Deloitte. I felt isolated, gained weight, and was drowning in a work culture where I didn’t feel like I belonged. But losing that job gave me the space to find myself again. To stop performing and start living in my truth. In March 2024, I posted a vulnerable video on TikTok about getting laid off, which led to a feature in Business Insider titled “I was laid off from Deloitte after I struggled to fit in. My coworkers wore burnout like a badge of honor, and I had to dim my personality.”
The article garnered over 2 million reads and sparked global features including El Tiempo in Colombia and the Hindustan Times in India.
Suddenly, my story was everywhere, and I realized this wasn’t just about me. It was about using my voice to give others permission to rise too.
My background in STEM also shaped this work. I began college as an engineering major and served as president of the Society of Women Engineers at the College of DuPage. I was often the only Black woman in the room, which led me to create a research project titled Enriching the STEM System to highlight the lack of diversity in the pipeline. I presented it to the STEM faculty division and won second place in my college’s research symposium. That presentation is now live on YouTube and remains one of the most formative moments of my life. It unlocked my passion for public speaking. Not just for academic purposes, but to use my voice on a broader scale to amplify truth and purpose.
But as my brand grew, not everyone could grow with me. I shed relationships that were no longer in alignment, especially with women who were stuck in misogynistic mindsets and saw me as competition. At the time, some women I knew were navigating their own insecurities and projected their discomfort onto me. Rather than shrink, I chose to stand fully in my light—with compassion, but also with boundaries. As a woman, your greatest power is in allowing yourself to be fully seen and celebrated for who you truly are. That is the greatest risk I take every day, and I am proud of that. My greatest joy is teaching others how to do the same.
I also teach something most brands never emphasize enough, especially in a patriarchal society. Your worth does not come from a relationship title. I do not center men in my life. I do not define my self worth based on whether I have a partner or not. The foundation of my brand is built on choosing yourself first and loving yourself deeply. When a woman learns to validate herself, build a life that reflects her truth, and embrace her authentic power, she becomes impossible to control. That is why self love is such a radical act. That is why I am proud that I am that woman, and why I teach others to become her too.
My brand is also expressed in the way I live, dress, and speak. I love sparkle, color, boldness, and glam. Whether I’m in a pink dress or something that makes me feel like a goddess, I am expressing my feminine leadership. I love the spotlight. I love taking up space. And I am not afraid to say that I am worthy of being seen, heard, and valued. That is not arrogance. That is liberation.
This business is built on the principle that truth, confidence, and self worth are not performative. They are a daily choice. I show others that you get to build a brand and life that reflects the real you. And I am proud that my story is proof of what happens when you stop shrinking and start shining.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When my best friend visits me in Miami, I curate an experience that reflects the beauty, creativity, and high-vibrational lifestyle I’ve created here. First stop? Always CASA NEOS! It’s my absolute favorite restaurant in the city. It’s the kind of place that effortlessly blends luxury with intimacy. The views are unmatched, the atmosphere is chic and stylish, and it embodies everything I love about Miami’s energy. One of my dreams is to become a club member there, and I’m manifesting that day very soon.
For brunch or lunch, I love Koko in Coconut Grove for its cozy, elevated charm or Moxie’s in Brickell, which is right in my neighborhood and never disappoints. Alaine’s Osteria in Palmetto Bay is my go-to for authentic Italian food, and for incredible Chinese cuisine, I always recommend Tropical Chinese in Westchester since it’s a classic and always hits the spot.
As a storyteller and creative, I’m also drawn to spaces that feed the mind and soul. Books & Books in Coral Gables is one of those gems – a café and bookstore all in one where you can sip a glass of wine, catch up on reading, and have deep conversations. It’s the perfect hidden spot to unwind or even meet someone inspiring.
If we’re shopping, Aventura Mall is a must. From luxury brands to immersive experiences, I love the energy there and it’s one of my favorite places to spend an afternoon. And when it comes to rooftop views, Watr at the 1 Rooftop is stunning, serene, stylish, and perfect for a sunset cocktail.
For nightlife, we’d kick things off at The Dirty Rabbit in Wynwood for something playful and spontaneous, and then let the rest of the night flow because that’s the magic of Miami. It’s a city that rewards authenticity and boldness.
Every moment in Miami feels like an affirmation of the life I’ve built and the woman I’ve become. So when I show people around, I’m not just giving them a tour of the city I’m offering a glimpse into the lifestyle I’ve designed: rooted in luxury, joy, self-expression, and alignment.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to the version of myself who kept going – the 24-year-old woman who picked up her life after being laid off, moved across the country from Chicago to Miami, and chose to believe that something greater was waiting for her. I thank her for being brave enough to bet on herself.
I also want to shout out the people who supported me through that journey. My energy healer Sonia, who helped me release what no longer served me and step into my power. My hairstylist Trinette, founder of Hair by Trinette in Chicago, who has been more than just my stylist. She has been a therapist, a life coach, and someone who has always made me feel like my most beautiful and grounded self every time I sit in her chair. I literally fly back to her because I trust her that much, and I always leave feeling renewed.
To the people in my inner circle who have loved me unconditionally, who brought nothing but love, light, and genuine support – thank you. And to the platforms like Business Insider, Financial Times, and now Shoutout Miami, thank you for amplifying my voice and believing in my message.
And finally, to every person who has ever watched, listened, or been moved by my story – I see you, I thank you, and this journey is for all of us.
