Meet Diana Marin | Founder, 27 Trendstore – Jewelry That Honors Strength, Beauty, and Self Love

We had the good fortune of connecting with Diana Marin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Diana, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
27 TrendStore was born from a deeply personal need to reconnect with myself as I approached my 40s. It wasn’t a strategic business decision, it was a heart-led one.
I’m Diana proud Latina, mom of two, and founder of this brand.
I’ve worked for over 15 years in marketing, online sales, business administration, licensing, accounting, payroll, tech you name it. I helped others build their dreams. I was the best at it. But for so long, I didn’t believe I could do the same for myself.
This brand represents the moment I chose to change the game. Jewelry became the bridge a way to express who I was, beyond all the roles I carried. When I wear something that reflects me, I feel powerful, feminine, and grounded. I created 27 TrendStore not just to sell jewelry, but to create a space where women could feel that same shift: a moment of connection with themselves. Especially for women who are mothers, caretakers, or just always giving. I wanted to create something that reminds them they’re allowed to feel beautiful, seen, and enough.
The day I launched my brand on my 40th birthday, my daughter wrote me a letter. She thanked me for showing her what self-love looks like. For believing in myself. For going after my dream, not because I had to but because I chose to.
I’ll never forget that moment. It made me realize that starting this business wasn’t just for me it was for her, and for every woman who needs to see that it’s never too late to choose yourself.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
27 Trendstore is more than just a jewelry brand. It’s a space where women come home to themselves.
Every piece I offer is carefully chosen not just to be trendy, but to help women reconnect with their femininity, with their strength, and with their sense of identity. This brand is for real women, women with stretch marks and stories, with busy schedules and big hearts. It’s for the ones who are healing while taking care of others, for the women who are choosing themselves again, even if they’re doing it scared.
My journey wasn’t easy. I had all the knowledge from years of business experience but what I lacked was belief. I was great at building for others, but I was afraid to build for me. Starting 27 Trendstore was about reclaiming my voice, my identity, and my purpose.
And being a mom is at the center of that.
My daughter has watched me build this and now she’s beginning to believe more in herself, too. My son, still little and full of imagination, reminds me every day why it matters to dream out loud even if right now his dream is to become a Tornado Chaser. I hope that by watching me build this, he’ll always know it’s possible to create the life you imagine, and that courage doesn’t mean moving without fear it means choosing to move forward with it.
I’m proud of this brand not because it’s perfect, but because it’s real. Because it’s built with love, intention, and soul.
And if wearing one of these pieces reminds a woman that she is enough, just as she is then I’ve already succeeded.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Miami has so many amazing places to explore, it’s a city full of culture, diversity, colors, and art.
If my best friend were visiting, we would spend the week discovering local spots, not chain restaurants, the service is always warmer, and the food is fresher and more authentic.
One day, we’d go to Shibui Japanese Restaurant in Kendall, a hidden gem where you sit on the floor, enjoy fresh, traditional Japanese food, and share a bottle of sake.
We’d rent bikes and ride through the Miami Beach Boardwalk, taking in the retro architecture of the historic hotels along Lincoln Road, cruising by the beach, and looping down to South Pointe Park where the yachts glide by.
We’d spend a lazy afternoon at Bayshore Club enjoying a lobster roll, then grab a cold beer at Sunny Side Cafe while watching the sunset.
Another day, we’d visit the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, taking beautiful photos and feeling like we’ve stepped into another time.
We could stroll through Coral Gables, sip coffee, and get lost among the lush, green canopies that make you forget you’re even in a city.
Of course, Wynwood is a must and it would take more than one visit.
We’d explore the street art, especially works by Colombian artist Andres Atheortua, visit the Museum of Graffiti, and catch the exhibit of Colombian artist Ledania if it’s still showing.
If we’re lucky, we could even experience Colombia Moda in Wynwood at the end of May.
For a more relaxed day, we’d head to Upper Buena Vista, have brunch at El Turco, get our aura photographed at one of the pop-up shops, and enjoy a cultural event at Palapa, and vibe with this place energy.
If we’re feeling adventurous, we’d hike through Shark Valley in the Everglades, breathing fresh air and being surrounded by wild nature, far from the city noise.
And of course, we’d spend a full day just relaxing on the beach in Miami Beach, soaking up the sun, toes in the sand, doing absolutely nothing but recharging, reconnecting, and celebrating the kind of friendship that makes you feel like yourself again.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout goes to my husband, Alejandro, the one who believed in me even before I believed in myself.
He lent me his eyes when I couldn’t see myself clearly. He reminded me of what I was capable of when I had forgotten. The inner calling I had felt for so long, he was the one who gave it that final, necessary push so I could dare to believe in myself.
He’s been the calm in the chaos, the “you’ve got this” on the days I felt like giving up, and the one behind the scenes cheering the loudest. Without his unconditional love and support, I wouldn’t be here today.
And of course, above everything, my deepest gratitude goes to God for His perfect timing, infinite love, and for orchestrating every detail, even when I couldn’t see the full picture.
This journey may have my name on it, but it carries the fingerprints of the people who loved me into believing I could do it.
And a special shoutout to my daughter, who is on her own artistic journey she helped me with the photos for this feature and continues to inspire me every day.
