We had the good fortune of connecting with Trini James and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trini, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I would say the most important factor behind my success—and the success of my brand—has been my faith in God. That foundation keeps me grounded and focused, especially during challenging moments. I also credit my incredible support system—my family has always encouraged me, and my loyal customers continuously show up for my brand. Their support means everything and truly fuels the growth and direction of my business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
PollyPosh is an online boutique created by girls, for girls. We’re a women-driven brand that stands for confidence, sisterhood, and empowerment. Our mission is to offer affordable, fast fashion while creating a community that uplifts and inspires women. We want every customer to feel seen, supported, and stylish—because when women feel confident, they show up powerfully in every area of their lives.

My business got to where it is today through a mix of faith, passion, and persistence. I started PollyPosh with a vision to create more than just a boutique—I wanted a brand that truly speaks to women, makes them feel confident, and reminds them of the power of sisterhood. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve leaned on my faith in God, my incredible support system, and my loyal customers who believed in the vision from day one. Every step—from late nights to small wins—has been a building block toward something greater. I stayed committed, kept showing up, and never lost sight of why I started.

One of the many lessons I learned was being too nice can sometimes hold you back. It is very important to set boundaries.

I want the world to know that my business is more than just clothes—it’s a movement. When you shop with us, you’re not just buying a look—you’re joining a sisterhood.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ummmm. Miami life gets kind of crazy but I prefer a more chill vibe.

Day2: A Spa Day

Day3: Kayaking at Oleta River

Day4: Yacht Day

Day5: Wynwood

Day6: Movies at Brickell City Centre

Day7: Rest. Lol.

A few of my favorite local restaurants are, Berny’s Kitchen, Contessa, La Fama Cafeteria (IYKYK), The Squeeze 305, and Sunday brunch at Jaya at the Setai.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My children—Ava & Tyla. They are my greatest motivation and purpose.
