We had the good fortune of connecting with Tongue Tied and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tongue, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
We pursue music because we have a deep love for it and have strong aspirations as artists to share our musical vision with the world

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets us apart is our willingness to experiment with any sounds or styles that interest us. The four of us have very diverse influences, so the music we make is a reflection of that.

We got to where we are because we all take our craft as musicians really seriously, so we’re all constantly pushing ourselves to improve. It hasn’t been easy but we all give each other a lot of support.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d take our friends to Gramps. It’s a bar/venue in Wynwood that always has really good bands playing. They also have really good pizza.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We thank our local Miami art scene (musicians, painters, photographers, etc.). Without our community we couldn’t do what we do. It’s important that artists help build each other up. In particular we want to thank 152 Productions. They’ve done a lot to give us more exposure throughout Florida.
