Meet Sthefany Azevedo | Co-founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sthefany Azevedo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sthefany, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Paula’s passion has always gone beyond competing. From the very beginning, her heart was in coaching, guiding others, building confidence, and helping people unlock the strength they didn’t know they had. When we first met, that fire was already there. And over time, through shared vision, long hours, and a lot of heart, it started to evolve into something bigger.
What we’ve built with Jungla isn’t just a place to work out. It’s a space for wellness, resilience, and real transformation. A space where movement becomes mindset. Where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow, not just physically, but from the inside out.
Watching this dream come to life, rooted in Paula’s passion and expanded by our shared purpose, has been one of the most meaningful journeys I’ve ever been part of.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My background is in business management and product design, and I’ve always been someone who thrives on building, from ideas to experiences to communities. I’ve worked in fast-paced corporate environments where I led digital product initiatives, but something deeper was always calling me. I wanted to create something that felt more personal, more rooted in purpose.
It definitely hasn’t been easy. Starting a business all by ourselves, especially one that’s built on passion, people, and physical spaces, comes with its fair share of late nights, financial risk, and emotional rollercoasters. But every challenge has taught me something: how to lead with intention, how to trust my gut, and how to keep showing up, even when it’s hard.
What sets me and Jungla apart is that we’re not here to be another gym. We’re a movement. A space for transformation, inside and out. I’m proud that our brand stands for strength, inclusion, and resilience, not just performance. Every detail, from the way we coach to the vibe in the room to the design of our space, is built to make people feel powerful and welcome.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting, we’d start the day the best way I know how, a morning workout at Jungla, followed by a yoga flow and some time in the sauna to reset. Then we’d head to the beach to soak up the sun (if the weather plays nice, because we all know Miami likes to surprise us). No visit is complete without wandering around Wynwood, checking out the murals, and grabbing a coffee or snack from NU in Midtown. I’d also take them to Virginia Key for some nature and views that always feel like a hidden gem. We’d wrap up the day with dinner at SOYA in Doral, my go-to spot for sushi and good vibes.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout goes to Paula, my co-founder and the heart of Jungla. Her passion for movement, coaching, and community is what sparked it all. From the first time we talked, I knew there was something special in her vision, not just about training harder, but about creating a space where people feel seen, supported, and strong in every way.
