Meet Julia Di | Owner – Event Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Julia Di and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Julia, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Flowers Time as a brand has been around for over 10 years. It originally started in Canada, and when we had the opportunity to bring it to Miami, it just felt right. We loved everything about it — the name, the reputation, the creative energy — and we were excited to take that legacy and give it a fresh new chapter here in Florida.
In total, the brand has been a part of over 1000 event projects, and I think the most important factor behind that success has been people. We’ve been lucky to work with an amazing team — talented, reliable, passionate. And on top of that, we care deeply about the work we do. There’s a lot of love and attention in every single project.
Consistency has also played a huge role. We show up, we do the work, and we never stop growing — creatively and as a business. Bringing the brand to Florida meant stepping into a new market and reintroducing Flowers Time with our own vision, style, and high standards. It’s been a lot of work, but it’s been incredibly rewarding.
At the end of the day, we’re proud to stand behind a brand that blends years of experience with fresh perspective, and still puts heart and quality at the center of everything.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Flowers Time is our flower baby — but with a bit of a twist. The brand actually started over 10 years ago in Canada, and when we connected with the founder, Alina, and talked about bringing it to Miami, she was all in. It felt like the perfect fit. We loved the name, the style, the energy — and we wanted to keep that heart while giving it a fresh new chapter here in Florida.
What sets us apart is that we’re not just a floral studio — we’re a full-service creative production team. We don’t just “do flowers.” We design experiences. We build custom installations, we get hands-on with styling and creative direction, and we care deeply about every detail. Our goal is always the same: to make people feel something — to transform a space into something meaningful and beautiful.
We’ve now been part of over 1000 events as a brand, and while the journey hasn’t always been easy, it’s been incredibly rewarding. We didn’t have a big local network in the beginning, but we focused on quality, consistency, and just showing up with care — every single time. Little by little, we built trust, relationships, and a name.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned? You don’t need to do everything yourself. Having the right people on your team — people who care, who bring their own passion and ideas — that changes everything. Flowers Time isn’t just my story, it’s the story of everyone behind the scenes who puts their heart into this every day.
What I want people to know is: we’re not just here to “decorate” events. We’re here to bring visions to life. And whether it’s a tiny elopement or a massive corporate production, we treat it with the same level of love and attention — because we know it matters.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Day 1 – We’d kick things off at Villa Vizcaya — it’s like stepping into a European fairytale. The gardens, the views, the architecture… she’d be obsessed (I still am, every time I go). After that, we’d walk around Bayfront Park, grab some smoothies, and just catch up.
Day 2 – Beach day. No agenda, just sun, snacks, music, and the ocean. I’d probably take her to Key Biscayne or a quieter stretch of Miami Beach — I like it calm and pretty. We’d end the day with drinks somewhere fun, maybe Broken Shaker or something beachy.
Day 3 – Full glam + girl time in the Design District. We’d check out the shops, art, architecture, take a million photos, and then eat at Mandolin Aegean Bistro — it’s such a vibe. Blue chairs, white walls, Greek salad… I mean, yes please.
Day 4 – A bit of a field trip day! Maybe a mini road trip to Naples or Palm Beach for a change of scenery, or if we’re staying local — maybe a boat day! There’s something magical about seeing Miami from the water.
Day 5 – Chill morning at a spa (Lapis at Fontainebleau is always a yes), followed by lunch at Casa Tua or The Setai. Super cozy, romantic, and the food is always amazing. At night, maybe we catch a local event or live music somewhere — something spontaneous.
Day 6 – I’d take her to peek behind-the-scenes at a Flowers Time event setup if we’re working that week. It’s fun to show people the creative chaos. Then something colorful and creative in Wynwood — walk around, take photos, end with dinner at KYU.
Day 7 – We’d keep it easy. Coffee, maybe another beach walk, probably some last-minute shopping or just hanging at home with my kids and husband. A cozy dinner, and a little wine to say goodbye.
Honestly, Miami has so many layers — it’s fun, artsy, tropical, and just full of energy. I’d want her to see all of it, but especially the parts that feel a little magical.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
With Flowers Time, the biggest shoutout definitely goes to our team. From day one, they’ve brought so much passion, creativity, and reliability to the table. This work isn’t easy — it’s long hours, heavy lifts (literally and creatively), last-minute changes — but they show up with heart every time. Honestly, the brand wouldn’t be what it is without them.
And of course, huge credit goes to Alina, the founder of Flowers Time in Canada. When we connected and talked about bringing the brand to Florida, she was incredibly supportive. It really felt like a passing of the torch — and we’re so proud to carry it forward.
Also, a little shoutout to the early clients and vendor friends in Miami who trusted us when we were just getting started here — especially the amazing team from I Do Events. Collaborating with them in the early days was such a gift. Their support helped us get on our feet and start building real momentum in a brand-new city.
So yes — there’s a lot of love behind Flowers Time, and a lot of amazing people who make it all happen.
