We had the good fortune of connecting with Chloe Swain and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chloe, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I’ve always had a deep relationship with movement. I grew up an extreme athlete, faced my fair share of injuries, and eventually earned a degree in Exercise Science. So I’ve come to know pain, both physical and emotional, but also the beauty of recovery.

When I became a flight attendant, I was introduced to a new kind of challenge. Long flights, unpredictable schedules, new cities every day, it tested me in ways I didn’t expect. I quickly realized I had to return to my roots and make my health a priority again. The challenge was figuring out how to be consistent in a lifestyle that rarely is.

So I started small. I shared moments from my journey like exercising at layover gyms, meal prepping on the go, taking classes in different cities, and I noticed people resonating. I wasn’t the only one looking for structure, support, and wellness while flying. That’s when Flight Attendant Fitness was born.

This isn’t just a business. It’s a vital resource. It’s about showing up even when your schedule doesn’t make it easy. It’s about progress over perfection. And most of all, it’s about creating a safe space where flight attendants and travelers alike feel supported in their wellness journey, no matter where they are in the world.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Flight Attendant Fitness was born out of a real need. My own. I was struggling to maintain any sense of consistency while working in aviation. I love my job, but the unpredictability of flying from city to city, changing time zones, and living out of a suitcase made it difficult to stay grounded in my wellness. I knew I wasn’t the only one feeling that way.

I have a degree in Exercise Science and a lifelong background in movement, so instead of giving up, a rollercoaster I have been on before, I got curious. I started creating systems that worked with my lifestyle instead of against it. Hotel room workouts, on the go meal prep, self-care habits that helped me feel more like myself. I shared it all and realized quickly that there was a real community out there who needed this kind of support too.

What makes Flight Attendant Fitness different is that it’s not built around an app or a preset system. It’s built around real life. I’m not just creating content from the outside looking in. I live this lifestyle too. I’m a flight attendant who understands how unpredictable our days can be. I know what it feels like to want to take care of yourself and not know where to start. That’s why this brand is personal. I’m the one doing the research, writing the workouts, and checking in on the people I work with.

My approach is grounded in science and driven by empathy. With a degree in Exercise Science and a background in behavior analytics, I’ve always been curious about how the body works and what keeps people going. Flying affects everything, your sleep, your hormones, your energy levels, even your mood. I research how those changes show up in the body and then figure out how to support people through them. The tools I offer are real and practical. No fluff, no shortcuts. Just support that works with your body and schedule.

This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about finding small ways to feel better, move better, and stay consistent. I’m proud to stand with the people I serve, not just as a coach, but as someone who gets it. Flight Attendant Fitness is different because it’s not just a brand. It’s a relationship. It’s rooted in care, backed by science, and powered by lived experience.

It was not easy. Most of what I have built has come from trial, error, and honest reflection. I have had to unlearn the idea that success looks a certain way. Some days are incredibly productive, others are simply about rest. But I have learned that building something meaningful takes consistency, vulnerability, and the willingness to be seen, especially on the days it feels messy.

I am most proud of the community that has formed around this brand. People from all walks of life who want to feel strong, supported, and seen. That is what this work is really about.

If there is one thing I want the world to know, it is that your wellness can travel with you. You do not have to be perfect. You just have to show up. And when you do, I will be right there with you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit me in Miami, we would have the best time ever because I truly believe this city has a little something for everyone. The energy here is unmatched. Equal parts vibrant, soulful, and healing. Our week would be a mix of movement, amazing food, culture, and plenty of space to just be.

Day 1: Arrival and Sunset
Pick up from the airport, of course. We would start the trip slow with a stop at Pura Vida for fresh juices or an açaí bowl. Then we would walk along Indian beach to catch the golden hour glow. Dinner would be at El Turco, tucked away in Upper Buena Vista. Think candlelit Turkish magic.

Day 2: Wellness Reset
Morning movement with sunrise yoga at Nikki Beach followed by brunch at Glass & Vine in Coconut Grove. After that, we would spend the afternoon walking through Vizcaya Gardens or Fairchild Garden. Spa evening at Carillon Miami Wellness Resort to unwind.

Day 3: Culture and Color
Breakfast at Little Hen , then straight to Wynwood Walls for art, murals, and that perfect blend of color and creativity. We would check out the local boutiques and grab lunch at The Salty Donut because balance is key. At night, we would dress up and head to Swan in the Design District for a chic dinner and people watching.

Day 4: Key Escape
We would plan a little getaway day to Key Biscayne or relax at the Virginia Key beach with our journals, books, or music.
Pack a pub sub from Publix and have a picnic. It is the perfect way to reset and soak up the slower side of Miami. For dinner, something fun and local like Lung Yai Thai Tapas in Little Havana.

Day 5: Miami Market and Mat Pilates
Mat Pilates at Sol Yoga in Sunset Harbor, then explore the Coconut Grove Organic Market or hit Lincoln Road Farmers Market. We would have late lunch at Lucali or Bodega Taqueria, two of my favorite spots for lunch or dinner, and lounge at the rooftop jacuzzi or pool. Evening rooftop drinks at The 1 Hotel.

Day 6: Art and Ocean
We have to check out Perez Art Museum Miami, then cool down at South Beach for a proper beach day. We would bring resistance bands and turn it into a light beach workout before grabbing coconut water from a vendor and watching the sun go down. Dinner at Ceviche 105 or Uptown 66 for a full Miami moment.

Day 7: Reflect and Celebrate
Early Yoga flow at Bloom Yoga followed by a matcha from Baker and Barista. After we shower, one last feel-good brunch at Blue Collar or Phuc Yea. We would spend the last afternoon reviewing photos, laughing about the week, maybe even doing face masks or a little DIY spa moment. Then I would take you back to the airport full, refreshed, and glowing.

Miami is full of contrasts. High energy and peace, glam and grounded, fast and slow. And I love showing people that you can have it all, especially when wellness is the common thread.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Flight attendants.

Becoming a flight attendant opened my world in every direction. New cities, cultures, conversations, and most importantly, perspectives. Every person I meet teaches me something I didn’t even know I needed to learn. It’s humbling and deeply inspiring.

I’m moved by real moments. Stories, laughter, heartbreak, resilience. I carry those experiences with me. I’m especially inspired by my fellow flight attendants. They’re some of the most adaptable, caring, and quietly heroic people I’ve ever met. The way they show up every day, in the air and in life, is something I admire endlessly.

Their stories fuel my purpose. Their energy gives this work meaning. I’m honored to be part of a community that reminds me what strength and softness can look like when they exist side by side.
