We had the good fortune of connecting with JVNCLRK and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi JVNCLRK, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
As an entrepreneur in the creative field, risk isn’t just part of the journey—it is the journey. You don’t get far in this space without betting on yourself. A lot of people take one or two shots, and if it doesn’t land how they hoped, they call it quits. But as a creative, you’re constantly evolving—reformulating, rebuilding, and pushing forward. Every loss is a setup for a bigger win if you’re willing to learn and adjust.

I’ve risked my time, energy, mental health, money, even safety—over and over again—to get where I am. And I’ll keep doing it to get where I’m going. When you’re truly committed, this isn’t just a job or a hustle—it’s a way of life. Risk has to run through your veins. But right alongside it is faith, resilience, balance, and deep understanding. That’s what keeps me progressing.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m here to provide and make a positive impact—whether that’s through inspiration, motivation, entertainment, knowledge, or financial support. My goal is to be remembered as one of the greatest creatives and people of all time. I have a very different understanding of how things work from multidimensional perspectives & as I gain greater positions, I’ll be able to give more & more.

This journey is for us all.

My family & collectors will be good forever off the things I create in my lifetime.

What really sets me apart is my diversity—not just in who I am, but in what I create. I’m constantly working across many forms: painting, drawing, styling, modeling, editing, creative directing, curating, and designing to name a few.

Painting, drawing, curating, and designing are the purest reflections of my obsession.

As I evolve, so does my art. Right now, my pour style pieces and my pattern are my most recognizable works. I love seeing how the pattern continues to develop and find new uses.

I also like to approach releasing art like a music artist drops albums—taking time to live, reflect, and tell a story. While working on these larger collections, I collaborate with brands on projects I think of as “singles” or “EPs.”

Professionally, I got here by being a sponge & staying patient—absorbing knowledge, planning carefully, and leveraging every opportunity. My journey started with photography in high school, which led to modeling in college. Modeling taught me about styling, creative direction, and fashion design. I had plans to model internationally after graduation, but COVID changed that. So I used my knowledge of cameras from both sides of the lens to focus heavily on social media. That time helped sharpen my marketing, curation, and aesthetic sense. & was the real start of my brand.

In 2021, I moved to Miami to expand my modeling and “influencer career”, make connections, and gain more experience. While there I realized my mix of skills and experiences prepped me to dive deeper into visual arts.
In August 2022, I released my first collection, THE PROGRESSiON COLLECTiON, and hosted my first event with brand sponsors and over 250 attendees. After selling a few pieces & hearing the responses from those that attended, I felt a strong sense of alignment & recognized this is my calling.

From there, I shifted my brand focus toward art, and launched my clothing line, Wolves Among Snakes, which has already had two sold-out collections.

Last year, I released my second art collection, FEELiN BLUE, which consisted of over 50 pieces I created in the span of 2024.

& then here we are now….I think this is the best time to answer your challenges & lessons learned questions. I talk about those topics heavy, through a visual piece & written word, with each collection having an overall storyline that ties together to represent a theme. So if you want to really understand my journey, tune into my art.

Come to my next release to find out more.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly, I’m a huge workaholic and an out-the-way type. If a friend is coming, I’d adjust the trip based on what they’d want to do, but if they’re just tagging along with me, we’re definitely gonna spend a lot of time in the studio cooking up new pieces. We’ll meet with clients & scout for new opportunities. Definitely hit the Perez Museum — their curation is always on point, and I’d love to get some of my work in there someday.

We have to hit the beaches. I’m all about Golden Beach & Hallandale-Dania area — the more private, the better. Key Biscayne is nice as well.

I’m big into fitness, so there are lots of great spots we’d run and bike. I like doing loops from downtown/Wynwood to South Beach and back, or from Brickell down to Key Biscayne/Coral Gables.

Also, would take em to my homies’ gym, Omega. They got a great setup, equipment, and energy.

Miami has a solid fight scene between Miami and Lauderdale, so if there’s an MMA card going on, training or catching a fight is a must.

For shopping, I’d slide through Aventura Mall and Lincoln Road, and I have a spot in the Design District I love — tons of vintage, rare pieces. Can’t drop the name though, because you know how it goes — if people find out, they’ll pull up and try to jack. But if you know, you know.

While we’re in that area, The Taco Stand is a must for me — fire food and a Miami classic for me. Honestly, the food scene here is pretty solid. I prefer the low-key spots where the food really hits, rather than the overhyped places that are more about the experience. Also, I’m a huge sweet tooth, so gotta hit Fireman Derek’s while we’re over there.

I’m a big fan of the Brightline train, too — I’d definitely take a trip up to Boca, West Palm, or Orlando while they’re in town.

Even though I’m not really a big nightlife person, during big events like Art Basel, Swim Week, F1, Music Week, Rolling Loud, etc. networking is key, and I usually end up having a good time. There are always tons of events and artists performing, so I’d take my friends to some of those. E11EVEN is usually my go-to for performances — their team always does it right and takes care of me.

Miami’s got tons of beautiful homes, so hitting a house party with my PR or Tabler team would be on the agenda.

Also, the city’s got great music studios, so if the artist is cool with it, I’d bring my friends along to some sessions.

Lastly, I love going for drives — Miami has so many beautiful sights and great weather. Windows down, good music, just riding around for a day is a vibe.

& yeah honestly, that’s probably close to a week’s worth of what you’d find us doing.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There’s definitely a long list, but I have to give the biggest shoutout to God and my mom. They’ve always been by my side, supporting me in countless ways I couldn’t even list.

A special thanks to the book The Alchemist — it shifted something in my mindset, & sparked a new interest for reading. Which in turn introduced me to a lifestyle that’s shaped everything I do.

I also want to thank Ye, Kid Cudi, Tyler the Creator, and ASAP Rocky for the inspiration and creative energy they bring. Big ups to Basquiat, Pollock, and Herring for the styles I pull from to build my own artistic expressions.

Thank you to all the brands that have trusted me, and given me platforms to showcase my talents.

To my collectors — thank you for giving my creations a home and proving my art deserves to be seen.

And lastly, a huge thank you to my friends and supporters who constantly send encouragement and keep me motivated to keep going.
