Meet Pedro Cabrera, Founder of Emprender US

We had the good fortune of connecting with Pedro Cabrera and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Pedro, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
For me, social impact is the soul of EmprenderUS; it’s our primary mission since we are just beginning. We directly address a very real challenge in the world of entrepreneurship: the high failure rate of new businesses, which is often due to insufficient preparation and a lack of access to solid resources.
Our goal with EmprenderUS is to empower Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs globally, providing them with crucial access to quality education, strategic connections, and verified resources that would otherwise be difficult for them to obtain. My personal philosophy is that entrepreneurship should aim to create value in the world, beyond simply generating income, and on this path, the power of human connection is absolutely fundamental.
Through our upcoming E-US School of Business, we will offer specialized diplomas covering vital business areas – from finance and marketing to legal aspects – seeking to fill those crucial knowledge gaps that go beyond the product or service the entrepreneur offers. We are already actively working to connect our community with experienced mentors and a vibrant networking hub for the exchange of ideas. Ultimately, by helping these entrepreneurs formalize their ideas, develop sustainable businesses, and create jobs, our goal is to contribute directly to the economic and social development of their communities and the world. Our future plans also include scholarship programs, further solidifying our commitment to positive and lasting social change.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, EmprenderUS, is a comprehensive digital platform dedicated to empowering Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs globally. Our mission is to propel their success by providing access to quality education, fostering strategic connections, and offering valuable free resources. What truly sets us apart, especially in our first year, is our holistic approach to supporting the entrepreneurial journey: we centralize crucial, verified information, cutting through online fragmentation. We’re excited about our upcoming E-US School of Business and building a vibrant community through diverse networking events.
Getting to where we are today has been a challenging journey, not an easy one. My vision for EmprenderUS stemmed from observing the clear need among a rapidly growing population of Hispanic entrepreneurs for specialized education and reliable information. My own path reflects this; early attempts, like bringing my previous company to the U.S., faced setbacks. These experiences taught me invaluable lessons in resilience and adaptability—that obstacles are opportunities to re-evaluate and learn. This conviction led me to relaunch EmprenderUS with a renewed, strategic vision, a calculated risk driven by the belief that we could fill a critical market need.
What I want the world to know about EmprenderUS is that we are more than just a business; we are a purpose-driven movement. We believe empowering Hispanic entrepreneurs through accessible, quality education and robust networks can transform lives and communities globally. Our story is one of perseverance, continuous learning from challenges, and an unwavering commitment to building a platform that truly makes a difference. We do this by connecting our community with expert providers for essential services like financial guidance and digital solutions, and by promoting initiatives focused on holistic well-being, because a strong mindset is foundational to entrepreneurial success. We are here to support dreams, foster innovation, and contribute to a more prosperous and equitable future for all.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting Doral, I would take him to experience the best of the city and its surroundings. We would start by exploring Downtown Doral to enjoy its vibrant culinary and entertainment scene, including essential stops at breweries like MIA Beer Company and Tripping Animals Brewing Co. to taste the local flavors.
I wouldn’t hesitate to take him to the recently inaugurated Doral Central Park, an impressive 33-hectare space that offers everything from recreational and sports areas to an amphitheater and an aquatic center. For my personal balance, we would also venture into the Everglades, my go-to place for running and cycling to disconnect and recharge. It’s a unique blend of urban dynamism, new attractions, and connection with nature.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Above all else, to my children, Andreina, Alberto, and Ana María, to my wife Maite, to my brothers Santiago and Guillermo, and my parents Guillermo and Haydeé, and to my closest circle of friends. Their constant support and motivation are the engine that drives me forward, even in the most challenging moments. They are my refuge and my greatest source of strength.
Secondly, I want to recognize the Miami-Dade Public Library System. For the past eight years, almost all of my readings, which have been crucial for my continuous learning and for nurturing my entrepreneurial mindset, I have obtained from their shelves. It is an invaluable resource that has consistently fueled my personal and professional growth.
A fundamental part of my balance and my ability to stay focused is my connection with nature and physical activity. For that, I also dedicate recognition to my moments of running and cycling, especially in the Everglades. These are my drainage spaces, where I find mental clarity, recharge my energy, and strengthen my resilience to keep moving forward.
And, of course, my “shoutout” also goes to two interconnected groups that are just emerging and are the heart of my purpose: the incredibly vibrant and resilient community of Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs we serve at EmprenderUS, and the invaluable network of mentors, partners, and allied organizations that support them and our platform. Every day, I witness their unwavering spirit, their adaptability, and their passion for building. They embody the “entrepreneurial mindset” that I promote so much and are the very reason for EmprenderUS.
It is a shared journey, and the energy, support, and inspiration from all of them truly validate everything we strive to achieve.
