Meet Michail Christofakis | Licensed Broker @ CIEN REALTY LLC

We had the good fortune of connecting with Michail Christofakis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Michail, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have been a real estate agent for the last 9 years now and what i found was that i was doing all the work and the brokerage would benefit by keeping a significant percentage of the commission. So after changing a few brokerages over the years i decided that i wanted to have total freedom on the field and got my brokers license and opened my own real estate brokerage.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a licensed real estate broker in Florida and i own a real estate brokerage in Miami called CIEN REALTY LLC. What sets me apart from others and the entire real estate community is that I provide 100% commission back to agents and they get to keep all their money no matter what the transaction is. This is revolutionary because agents can really run their business with 100% freedom and really keep all their money. About how i got here, like i mentioned before i was tired of giving away a significant portion of my earnings to the brokerage i was working for and after working with a few for the last 9 years that i had my real estate license i decided to step it up and do my own thing. It was not easy because when taking the leap of faith and opening your own business there is no one to really carry you forward other than yourself. But with belief and persistence obstacles can be eliminated. The lessons i learned along the way really comes down to one. That you got to believe in yourself, never doubt what you are capable of and never stop.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I m going to start by saying that i would take my best friend to a rooftop so he/she could enjoy impeccable views of the city. To start i would go to Astra in Wynwood for some nice drinks and views, then to Area 31 in Brickell for amazing downtown gaze and before the sunset to Rusty Pelican for happy hour and the best 180 views of Miami. Then we would go to Joia beach for tropical vibes and great food and up to Bayfront park to jump on the spinning wheel and watch the city from above. Another place i would go for sure would be the Miami zoo because there are amazing creatures to witness and the space is huge. I would visit Lincoln road in Miami Beach to get the vibes of the old city and South Beach just for the flare. For swimming i would take my friend to Bal Harbour because it has Bahamian style pristine waters and i would charter a boat to go to the sandbar in Haulover. One of the best experiences anyone can have while in the city. At night i would visit LIV on fontainebleau which gives the Vegas experience of a club inside the hotel.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Its definitely not just one person, book or entity that contributed to where i am today. It has been a collection of people from friends, relatives and businesses that got me to this point. But above all, the ones that deserve most of the credit are my parents. My father and my mother have been the catalysts on my journey. I want to start with my mother and say that i inherited from her the fighter spirit. The never give up attitude and keep pursuing my goals mentality kind of thing. She has been next to me along the way most of my life and from afar the last 10 years that i m in Miami. I want to complete this question by making a special reference to my father who i lost the past February. He has been the mentor, the friend, the supporter and the foundation of who i am today. A real gentlemen, a great family man dedicated to his kids and the family and always available and able to assist with whatever i needed. A true beacon of light and a super wise individual who was there to celebrate my highs and get me going after my lows.
