Meet Coffee | The Creative Branding Barista

We had the good fortune of connecting with Coffee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Coffee, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always known I was meant to be an entrepreneur. I’m not someone who thrives following the status quo—I value my freedom, I love to travel, and I’ve always been drawn to creative expression and connecting with people from all walks of life. My journey started out of necessity while running my own YouTube channel. I needed branding that felt true to me, so I taught myself graphic design and content strategy. As I got better, I started helping other creators and realized—I’m actually good at this. That’s when the lightbulb went off: this isn’t just a skill, it’s my zone of genius. I leaned in, bet on myself, and turned what was once a side hustle into a full-fledged creative agency.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart is my genuine love for media in all its forms—not just design. I’m obsessed with storytelling. Whether it’s a song, a film, or a piece of art, I’m always asking: What was this person trying to say, and how does it reflect something in me? That lens informs my entire approach to branding. I don’t just build visuals—I create experiences that spark emotional movement. I want people not just to see a brand, but feel something from it. Something that makes them want to join the story, while telling their own.
Getting to where I am now was anything but easy. I started with no formal training—just curiosity and a commitment to figure it out. And honestly? That 10,000-hour rule barely scratches the surface. It takes even more grit, especially on the days when nothing is working. But I learned that failure doesn’t define you—quitting does. I kept going because I believed that my story wasn’t finished yet.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success requires sacrifice. It demands a level of discipline that often feels isolating, even overwhelming. But the payoff is knowing that you’re not just changing your own life—you’re helping shape the lives of others, even people you’ll never meet.
If there’s one thing I want the world to know, it’s that every piece of art I create is a piece of my heart. When we work together, we’re weaving our stories together—and to me, that’s more valuable than money, followers, or fame.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Start with Rosa Sky—you won’t find a better view of the skyline, especially at sunset. For the littest day party, head to Beyond Brunch—trust me, it’s a whole vibe. When night falls, hit Voodoo on South Beach for nonstop energy or The Electric Lady in Wynwood for cocktails and aesthetic overload. Looking for drag and drama? RH House Drag Brunch never misses.
For foodies, Jamaica House serves up some of the best Caribbean dishes in the city. And if you’re trying to dance it all off, head to Hollywood Circle for a night out you won’t forget. Lastly, if you’re planning a water day, RC Tours is your go-to for excursions, jet skis, and yacht vibes.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely—success doesn’t happen in a vacuum, and I’m so grateful for the people who’ve helped shape my journey. First, I have to shout out TheePaulPugh (ByPEW), Wesley Martin (InTheLUop), and BC Clemoens from LU’s PR and Marketing Department. They introduced me to the world of media, design, and photography and truly planted the creative seeds that would later grow into my business.
A huge thank you to Jeri Lacy, who gave me my first real branding opportunity after college and believed in me so much that she bought me my very first MacBook to help brand her hair studio. That moment was a game-changer.
Roo The Shooter has been more than a talented photographer—he’s been a supportive friend, collaborator, and confidant who opened so many doors for me creatively and professionally during my time in Miami.
And last but never least, Booked and Busy Book Club. It’s been more than a hobby—it’s a space that grounds me, inspires me, and reminds me why storytelling (whether visual or written) is such a powerful form of connection.
