We had the good fortune of connecting with Ana Rios and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ana, how does your business help the community?
My role as founder of Da Cura Pets is to provide pets and their owners with access to integrative healing by offering proven holistic therapies. We are in a new era where animals are no longer engaging with nature in the same way they used to, they are now innate members of our families and residing in our homes full time. This means that our pets (just like us) are also in need of integrative care. An integrative health system recognizes the multitude that makes a living being – from our physical body to our mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. Our holistic approach includes a vast variety of therapies to treat each of these individually. We offer therapies for both pets and owners rooted in naturopathy, Chinese medicine, plants, flowers, crystals, energy healing, animal psychology, and systemic family constellations and more.
I guide families to recognize their pets not only as companions but as mirrors who reflect our emotions and wellbeing. When owners find balance, peace, and clarity, their pets mirror that equilibrium, allowing for healthier relationships filled with health, love and harmony.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Da Cura Pets was born after many years of working in animal hospitals and shelters, where I cared for pets as a nurse and saw how much they and their families needed not just medical care, but a more compassionate way to walk through suffering together. When my own pets began to age, I realized that traditional medicine alone wasn’t enough, and I felt called to search for deeper and natural ways of healing.

That journey took me to Brazil and Colombia, where I studied holistic animal medicine, spirituality, therapies with horses, and systemic family constellations. These experiences gave me a new perspective on how animals and their humans process illness, aging, and transitions. Back in the U.S., I completed my degree in Animal Health and Psychology from Unity Environmental University, blending science with these alternative approaches.

It hasn’t been an easy path, because what I do is very outside the box of traditional care. I offer a service that works towards finding the root cause of an illness, which requires both physical and emotional/spiritual support. But that’s also what makes Da Cura Pets unique: I’ve created an integrative way of support that helps animals and their families navigate imbalances with profoundly transformative yet non-invasive treatments. At the end of the day, Da Cura Pets is more than just the services we offer, it’s the connections that are made. An opportunity to nurture one of the most important relationships we have in our life – the ones with ourselves and with our furry family.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting for the week, I’d want to give her a mix of Miami’s vibrant energy and the peaceful little gems I love most.

We’d kick things off with a delicious brunch at Miami Juice, where I’d insist she tries the falafel wrap, truly the best of the best! After filling up, we’d head straight to the beach to soak in that signature Miami sun and enjoy the turquoise water. There’s nothing like starting the trip with salty hair, sandy toes, and ocean vibes.

In the afternoon, I’d take her up to Fort Lauderdale for a little pampering at my favorite hidden gem — Angela Molina Wellness Salon. Their head spa is pure heaven, the most relaxing, rejuvenating treatment ever. Afterward, to keep the cozy vibes going, we’d grab a creamy matcha latte from Living Green before heading back home to refresh.

To wrap up the day, we’d keep it light and fun with a night out at Dania Pointe Cinema, popcorn, laughter, and a good movie, the perfect way to balance out a day of beach, beauty, and bliss.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout to Kate Solisti, my mentor in intuitive animal communication. She was not only a wonderful woman, but also someone who deeply believed in my potential when I was still learning to trust myself. Through her guidance, she instilled in me self-trust in my gifts of communicating with animals and even with plants. Her wisdom, encouragement, and unwavering faith in me helped shape the way I practice today, and her legacy continues to live through the work I do with every animal and family I support.
