We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittney Frederick and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittney, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of Scented by BGC Label has been passion. From the very beginning, I wanted to create products that made people feel confident, luxurious, and cared for. Every scent and product reflects my personal touch and attention to detail. Staying true to my vision and listening to my community has been key! Their excitement and loyalty inspire me to keep innovating and growing every day.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Scented by BGC Label actually started as a hobby. I’ve always loved fragrance. I transitioned from fashion to fragrance, because I could not get around my love for fragrances. Before officially launching the brand, I would create sample packs from my personal fragrance collection and teach the power of scent layering. That’s where my product line was born. Not only do I create fragrances, but I also create products that are essential to a daily routine. Scent layering has been a game changer for many of my customers…. it’s a way to create a signature scent that’s completely personal.

What sets Scented by BGC Label apart is the attention to detail in every product. From carefully crafted scents to nourishing formulas that make every day feel special.

Building the brand hasn’t always been easy, but staying true to my vision, learning from mistakes, and leaning on my community helps me overcome challenges.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that success comes from consistency, creativity, and hard work! At its heart, Scented by BGC Label is more than body care, it’s an experience, a touch of everyday luxury, and a reflection of passion and perseverance.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Central Florida, Orlando, to be exact, has grown so much, and we have sooo many hot spots! If I were planning the ultimate girl’s week with my bestie, we’d start with a relaxed, chill vibe. I’d kick things off downtown at The Moderne for bar bites and bubbles, then head over to Lake Eola for a walk. Depending on the day, we could pop into local markets and boutiques to check out unique finds. One of my favorite pastimes is stopping by Uncle Tony’s record shop to dig through crates of vinyl…..such a fun, nostalgic experience.

Orlando has amazing spots for shopping and dining too! Disney Springs is perfect for a day of fun, Pointe Orlando has great restaurants and entertainment, and we definitely can’t skip a theme park day! Food is a big part of the experience, so we’d check out local food truck spots and explore some incredible soul food in historic Eatonville and West Orlando.

For a night on the town, dinner at Kres Steakhouse followed by a cocktail at Proper hits the perfect vibe…..nothing over the top, just good food, good drinks, and good energy. And of course, a spa day at the Conrad or Four Seasons is a must for ultimate relaxation. Between city energy, culture, shopping, and a little touch of luxury, Orlando has everything you need for a fun, unforgettable week!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely! I owe so much to the incredible community that surrounds me….from family and friends who’ve supported my vision from the very beginning, to my loyal customers who continue to inspire me every day. A special shoutout goes to my husband, who has always recognized and encouraged my gifts as an entrepreneur, his unwavering support and belief in me have made all the difference. I also want to give credit to other female entrepreneurs and mentors who have shared their wisdom and guidance along the way. And honestly, the small but powerful world of fragrance lovers and body care enthusiasts deserves recognition too; without their excitement for what I create, Scented by BGC Label wouldn’t be where it is today.
