We had the good fortune of connecting with Bleu Pablo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bleu, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
To be honest, Becoming an Artist was never a career decision. It’s survival. It’s how I process life, how I give back, how I stay connected to something real.

There’s a lot I wanna give to the world and art helps me translate those feeling into something people can relate to and grasp easily. .

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is a reflection of life’s contradictions, the beauty and the weight, the chaos and the calm. I paint from emotion, from lived experience. Each piece is like a conversation between color, texture, and the human spirit. What sets my work apart is honesty, I’m not trying to make something “perfect,” I’m trying to make something real. I want people to feel seen in the messiness of it all.

Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. I didn’t have a clear path, just faith and consistency, and the will to keep creating even when nobody was watching. There were moments of doubt, moments where the art didn’t sell, where the vision felt too heavy to carry. But I learned that discipline is just as spiritual as inspiration. You show up for the work, and eventually, the work starts showing up for you.

I’m most proud of building community. Through Bleucalf, Scott Bleu Studios, or the artists I collaborate with. I want the world to know that my brand isn’t about chasing trends; it’s about creating space for real storytelling, and having a true impact on lives.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Being from New York… it’s wild. This whole city has been my playground since I was a kid. Every neighborhood, every culture, every little corner teaches you something if you’re paying attention.

First thing we’re doing is hitting the museums. All of them. The Met, MoMA, Whitney, Brooklyn Museum , we’re soaking up everything that makes NYC the cultural capital it is. I’m big on art, so I’d wanna set the tone right away.

Then I’m taking them up to The Bronx. Not just the pretty parts, the real spots. The ones that hold history, culture, stories… places that might look “regular” or even “unattractive” to some people, but they mean something if you know what you’re looking at.

New York is too big to plan everything , half the magic is just stepping outside and letting the energy pull you in.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d dedicate my shoutout to my community, the people who believed in me before the world caught on.

My family, my friends, the artists who remind me every day that purpose is bigger than ego. Special shoutout to my late uncle Albert Wright who was an artist as . He served as a sense of encouragement and council through my artist journey.

Everyday I’m pushed, challenged, and inspired by so many who saw light in me when I couldn’t always see it myself. I carry that with me.
