We had the good fortune of connecting with Josephine Lentner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Josephine, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success has been consistency rooted in purpose. I’ve always believed that when you lead with intention, whether it’s through modeling, content creation, or community building, success naturally follows. For me, it’s not just about growth in numbers, it’s about impact. I stay consistent in showing up for my community, taking inspired actions, and aligning every project with my values of self-care, discipline, and authenticity. That alignment is what keeps my brand strong and evolving.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I wear a lot of hats… I’m a model, content creator, podcast host, and co-founder of La Vie Agency, a Miami-based modeling and talent agency that I run alongside my business partner, Kassandra. I also recently launched 10K Steps Miami with my friend Cassius, a women’s wellness community built around movement, connection, and self-care. On top of that, I work in the EdTech space for a startup called Campus, which focuses on expanding access to higher education and helping students reach their goals something I’m really passionate about because it ties back to my mission of empowerment and personal growth.

What sets me apart is that I lead with intention and authenticity. Everything I do from modeling campaigns to building community is rooted in helping people see what’s possible when they bet on themselves. I’ve been in the creative industry for years, and I know how easy it is to fall into comparison or perfectionism, but I’ve learned to turn my journey into a message of self-love, discipline, and consistency.

It definitely wasn’t easy. There were seasons of rejection, uncertainty, and starting from scratch. But every challenge built my resilience and taught me how to create my own opportunities instead of waiting for them. Founding La Vie Agency and Get Cozy with Josie were both products of that mindset building spaces that reflect purpose, representation, and community.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that alignment beats hustle every time. When you move with faith, intention, and integrity, everything that’s meant for you flows naturally. What I want the world to know about my story is that you can live a life that’s multidimensional. One where passion, purpose, and success all coexist. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but even more excited for what’s ahead, because this journey is just getting started.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Miami for a week, I’d want them to experience the city the way I do… the way I grew up! A perfect mix of peace, culture, and fun.
We’d definitely start the trip with a beach day probably at Bal Harbour or Crandon Park because the beach is my happy place and there’s nothing like grounding yourself with your feet in the sand and the ocean breeze. After that, we’d grab some Haitian food so they could get a real taste of my culture, which is such an important part of who I am.

If they’re here on a Saturday morning, I’d take them on one of our 10K Steps Miami walks so they could meet some of the amazing women in our community and experience that sense of connection and empowerment firsthand. We’d probably do lunch after at a cute spot like 60 Vines or Mandolin before heading to the Design District to explore and do a little shopping.

At night, we’d go to an Afrobeats party, maybe The Shrine at Red Rooster, and dance the night away. Miami has such a beautiful energy when it comes to music and community, and I’d want them to feel that joy and freedom.
Later in the week, we might do a spa day or facial with one of my favorite estheticians at Vio Med Spa and maybe even a creative day where we visit a studio or work on content together. The goal would be to mix relaxation, culture, and creativity which are all the things that make Miami home for me.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely. I owe so much of my journey to the incredible community around me. First and foremost, my mom who’s been my biggest supporter in everything I do. I also want to recognize my business partner and friend, Kassandra, who co-founded La Vie Agency with me. She’s been such a huge part of bringing our vision to life and building a platform that uplifts and empowers women in the modeling industry.
But most importantly, it’s my community… Every single person who has shown up, supported, collaborated, shared my work, or simply believed in the vision. From the women who walk with me every Saturday at 10K Steps Miami to the creatives who’ve been part of my podcast Get Cozy with Josie and beyond, their love, energy, and encouragement have been the driving force behind everything I do. My story is truly a reflection of them because none of this would exist without the people who continue to pour into me and show up along the way.
